I noticed during play that zooming in on the map on the greatest magnification levels (where ship hulls are roughly drawed) there is no texture.
Rather there is only a black square obscuring all.....
I found no buglist but I cant be the first or only one right?

Believe it or not thats a Vid card problem. Its having trouble rendering the Ship/Sub Icons now with all the extra demand on your vid card.. Does, by any chance, your vid card have only 128Mb of Ram? Also I'd look to doing a Vid Card Driver Update if at all possible. And did you UNCHECK the Hi-Res Sea Floor Texture when you installed. Even tho its not visable in any of the Nav/TDC Screens, its still being loaded into your Vidcard memory and may also be leading to this Vid card Issue.

So I got rid of the seafloor mod, but no change.
Funny enough when i use IUB theres no problem and that is a big
(but not as big as GW) mod too..
Any ideas?:doh:

The seafloor needs to be manually changed back to stock- reinstalling doesnt change it

I reinstalled SH3 and GW completely thank you (pretty easy thanks to JSGME)
but problem remains.
I now want to manually alter the files concerned to the SH3 default.
I think i have to alter C:\Program files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Submarine\NSS_U boat**\NSS_Uboat**_shp.tga
and the
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\cfg\ maybe as well?
