changes to onscreen for GW... plz explain

ok well i obviously got GW (dl'd it from a european server - took all night - was painfully slow although i got cable) i LOVE GW!:up: they are the best supermod ever!

but here's another question. at the top of the screen there is a cigar-shaped object always in GW. what is it? it's near left corner. it obscures the field-of-view in map and especcially in crew compartments. it's nearly impossible to click onto "repair" crew management. :hmm: plz try it and post an answer here if u can. thnk u.

If you click + drag you should find a new stopwatch. It can only be started via the watches in the scope/uzo view.

Once you get used to it you won't even notice. It is nice to have when you are in other areas of the sub, yet want access to the stop-watch.

yeah i did that. i dragged it away. there are some useful papers too. the speed chart is a bit :hmm: how u say - needs 'splaining. could u? what is it used for? what does it show? knots to km conversions? i dont really get the whole thing.;)

Ship speeds are listed in knots. Distances are listed in kilometres. If you are trying to intercept a convoy at high realism levels, a conversion chart is very useful.

The charts list how far a ship will travel at a certain speed in a certain amount of time. Down the left side you will see the speed. Across the top is time in hours.

I thought so at first but its not. Just hover the cursor just below the "cigar shaped" thing quit trying to put the cursor directly over the text. Its not a big deal once you get used to it. Its a long ways from "impossible"
