Hi
What Mods do I need to get this sim more realistic. I used to use Real U-boat, and SHIII comannder and the faces from Das Boot.
Is the Captain America gauge mod also required, or is it included in any of the above?

None of the ones you listed includes the guage fix mod. The newer supermods might; you'll need to read their manuals/readmes to find out all that they contain.
Bordinstrument is nice as it creates replicas of the real guages.

NYGM tonnage war = super realism with a bit of eye candy
The Grey Wolves = bit less realism than NYGM but lots more eye candy. It also has the instrument gauge pack that Sailor Steve mentions above.
If you want lots of realism and very challenging game go with NYGM. If you want more of a challenge than vanilla game and better visualls then go with GW.
Also of note: Drifters Realism Mod adds a very nice challenging touch as an addon to GW with longer repair times and better sub damage + better Escort AI.
These are the big 2 supermods. Both are VERY good mods to have. Opinions very widely ( and sometimes heatedly) on which is the best. Really its a matter of what floats yer boat so to speak. If your not sure try them both.

I Agree, NYGM and this one is also always in evolution with improved updates.
Personally I have two installs, default and NYGM ;when NYGM is a lot too difficult I can relax a little with the default SHIII with a few basic mods.I have tested GW ,cosmetic and visual are good, but realism and historical accurate points are not specially brillants in this Mod.
