View Full Version : BF109 reskin 'Wienhusen'
My second ever reskin! Well, a conversion as the skin is made by Canon for IL-2.
This paintscheme was used by Hauptmann Franz Wienhusen.
There are flaws in the skin, but nothing too big. ;)
Instructions
1) Put the BF109 Reskin folder to your MODS folder, if you use JSGME
or
2) Unpack the .tga file inside the folder to your SHIII/data/textures/Tnormal/Tex

Looks good!
Thanks guys, something like that keeps the modders/skinners going. And when it comes from someone like Sailor Steve, it really inspires to keep on going (Or maybe itīs just all this beer Iīm having atm).
Thereīs plenty from where those came. I already made a new JU87 skin from IL-2 skin and Iīm working on a new hurricane. I only found one hurricane skin, and itīs not made by Canon so it wont be anything special.
Hereīs a preview of the Stuka:

Nice work, although that 109 is wearing defense of the homeland band which wasnt seen until 1944/45 over Germany. You should consider trying the naval 109 and stuka skins. That would be different :yep:

Yay...you tell 'em Dowly. When i did my Condor and Stuka skins a while back they made me re-do them without the Eastern Front yellow stripe and wing markings.
I thought they looked pretty too.
