Oh dear God please do not let the trend of doom, that is from the flight sims, ever catch hold in the SH3 community. We have plenty of great modders here who are not some company*cough*xsoft*cough**hack**ahem* we do not need a company to come here and "add-on" to the game and then suggest that we pay for it.

As far as the Mediterainian mod that seems to have arrived, it seems fine to me. But from my understanding is that GW next version will have some "add-ons" that will address the Med issues. So why pay for something when you can get it, with better quality, for free?


i think the issue is not to be overly short sighted about pay ware---
assuming there will be an SH9 SH22 etc etc etc etc
what sort of things might be available if a thriving pay ware market was to develop--

would any one find a hardware USB connected TDC panel desirable for example--?
a metal cased TDC fully functional with which to set up your torpedo shots---just plug it in a spare USB socket and sit it on your desk--now i know it would be a fun thing to have for sure---

and you can see that this is nothing out of the ordinary for peripherals pay ware manufacturers will produce if the demand is there--this site was just the first that came up on the search engine --

use a bit of imagination and think long term--you dont think for a second that thee manufacturers would risk making these products if they thought for a second that flight sims might cease to be made---yes they are confident that Microsoft flight simulator 2010 will be made---this is a tit for tat thing---the one encourages the other---

how about a reproduction metal cased working depth gauge sat on your shelf reading accurately your depth in the game whilst playing (perhaps smaller say 12 inch diameter?) quite apart from it being a dang collectors item all by itself and a fantastic ornament--the fact that it worked would be a wonderfull addition

think a bit bigger than X1 and this years latest thing..

Well when I got to the site there and hit the icons to download the patches, I got whisked away to where is says you have to 'donate' before you can download??? Different ranks of donnation are there..starting at $5??? :-? :-?

If'n ye has a free download connection there I would greatly appreciate it buddy. :arrgh!: :D

Subsim.com has a monthly traffic limit and cannot offer such big downloads for a long time. Only for about the first 10 days of each month the public can download GW here, after that the download is only available for donators.

Looks like your FileFront links are for 1.1 and not 1.1a. Am I right about that, and if so, is there a 1.1a filefront link? The Euro mirror says it's going to take 21 hours per zip file. :damn:
