Damage Texture Question

While the crew finishes repairs on the still out of service u-66 i decided to play a few single missions. Mainly the one with the XXI Uboat that has to go suicidal and take on a task force and take out the three carriers. Well i actually was able to sink 2 and cripple one. After slowly silent running out of the area i surfaced long outside the taskforce view and then came under attack by bombers. Well i noticed something about the damage i took. It looked like the whole rear of my conning tower was blown appart (actually it was black like the Das Boot movie conning tower) Now i have taken hits in the conning tower on the U-66 and never saw damage textures apear on it.

So i made a missing with and IXB, IXC, IXD2 and some ships and opened fire on them.

Well just like i thought direct shots to the conning tower and no damage textures, same for all models. If you shoot the hall you can see the black scar of the dammage. Ships the same thing can see damamge on the hulls only but do not see it on the bridge or super structures. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or fixed it.

Maybe im doing something wrong.

Yah, I have that problem too. I guess its a bug.

Do you know if there is a way to correct this. It looked very realistic to see the connning tower damaged.

I have not tried to find out what subs / ships this problem happens with. I do know that its happens with all versions of the IX

The XI however shows damage very clearly to the conning tower of the sub.

All the other subs come in 2 parts - Hull and Coning tower ( Turm ) except the XXI which is a 1 piece sub
Beyond that I know nothing :rotfl:
