What does "TweakFiles.zip" do?

If this is what I think it is, it allows you to tweak game files within the game to behave how you want them to behave though what may seem like a simple tweak can end up being a total game breaker so beware.

Examples include sub crush depths, ship speeds etc etc.

I cannot help you but I can guess that these may be updated versions that include the ability to tweak new things. Either that or they are someones mod and if so, I am on the same boat as you i.e. clueless ????
