SH3commander career CTD

Am playing in the Wolfpack campaign and just fired up my current patrol only for it to CTD on the "Not so long ago" screen :damn: :damn:
I can start a new career and all works fine but have around 84000 tons so cant afford to lose it :nope:
Have removed careers from SH3 folder in my documents and deleted folder before reinstalling game and it still happens :o
Any help guys ?

I suppose I should say - had saved game and exited to screen where can load different careers
Was online doing something else when comp froze so I had to restart
Using SH3commander 2.5

Something similar was happening to me also when using SH3CMDR 2.5.I don't exactly know what the reasons were ,but i also had some really "juicy" careers with really big tonnage numbers and with no apparent reason ,sometimes i got CTD'S while in mid-patrol,and when i tried to re-load the career i would also get a CTD.Note that i was (and still am) using NYGM TW 2.1.I still have no ideea what that was about ,but since i have started using SH3CMDR 2.6 i don't get that anymore.I don't know if the CMDR itself is responsable and 2.6 solved the problem or if it is something in the game.I suspect that the number of saves you make in one patrol might be responsable for this.I made some tests and i have observed that after passing a certain number of saves (between 100-120) the career begins to get a little un-stable and that CTD occurs.You should also see if the cmdr might be conflicting with some mods you have installed?Hope this helps!

Went back a save and still CTD so went back another with the same result
After going back yet another save it worked - added bonus of running into a ammunition ship I didnt before !
Found the convoy I was hunting again too but this time heavy fog and had half boat destroyed by DC :damn:
Still cant have it all
Big revenge BB in this convoy too and now both my scopes are destroyed:nope:
Well its working again anyway so fingers crossed eh

Now just have to make it back to Wilhelmshaven with no scopes or starboard prop or sonar thru the Channel or carry on to patrol grid in DH28 and wait till supply boat in Vigo in 17 days time

Good to know it works again:).You should make back-ups of your saves after patrols.It could save you some trouble.
Oh,and yep that's some tough choice there:) .I think you should refuel instead of going trough the channel but it's your game mate:D.Good luck-watch out for that destroyer traffic:ping:

Yeah I do make back ups but normally when patrol is over unless I remember

Made the decision and am going to Cadiz to repair - its closer and less traffic than the channel
