Did some body remember where it was located and at wich file....

May be

Trav_Tolerance and Elev_Tolerance

at GUNS_Sub.sim file ?

Thanks in advance.

This is from my personal read me...

Guns_Sub.Sim NOTE - Includes changes for the NYGM Aircraft Damage Mod
88mm & 105mm SpeedElevation changed from 10 to 1.25. Done to remove/reduce auto compensation when the u-boat is rocking.

Guns_SUB.simNOTE - This file includes changes for the NYGM Ship Damage Mod
All 20mm SpeedElevation changed from 90 to 25. Done to remove AI laser targeting.
All 37mm SpeedTraverse changed from 45 to 60. Done to improve aim.

Also to note that this removes the AI's super abilities in ALL weather conditions.

I do not feel that any additional changes are needed to increase the already in-built effects when the wind pick up.

Many thanks for that data Teddy...

I am looking to understand these entries :

Trav_Tolerance and Elev_Tolerance

I seems to increase or decrease the accuracy, but some time some body tells those sentences or entries are the limit for guns stabilization to correct the sub movement.

Reducing these values it seems to reduce shells dispersion.... but i am not sure.

Is it correct ?

I think it was Gibs or ?? who discovered that when adjusting these values the 'crew' have a lesser ability to compensate for the rocking effect of the u-boat.

The issue I see with using only this method is that in good weather then you have Laser Guided AA etc.

The issue I see with using this method as well as mine is that even in mild wind speeds of 5mps then it gets unrealistically inaccurate AA.

My method covers all areas and sea states as it reduces the speed in which the AI Crew can compensate for the sudden change in height of an aircraft and also the rocking of the u-boat.

My method does allow, especially for the deck gun, for the crew to adjust and give I think a great realistic result when you align your u-boat for a good wave interaction.

so the higher the tolerance numbers the better the crew is at re shooting?

Many Thanks Teddy for data. Really i can not note too much diference, i test those values from 0.1 up to 99 and there is no too much diference. The main diference in shot down capability result from submarine AAA equipment.

I will check your Guns_sub file.

My interest is to have a better AAA protection on port, some times i finish as a piece of scrap ship without be able to leave port :rotfl: , at sea i always dive when spot a plane, plus to save some deck gun ammo due to its unacuracy by dispersion.

Really i am not sure Butterbar, the only thing i can note, is when i increase those values, deck gun shells have a lot of dispersion, in AAA it is hard to see this "suposed" dispersion, i cant ensure, but in the deck gun it is very noticeable.
