I know I should find the proper place to post this rather than starting a new thread, but I wanted to make sure it would be seen by the TGW crew.

What a great job and congrats/tks to the TGW crew!

First, smooth as glass on install and running. I rolled back SH3cmdr, then checked jsgme and saw that somehow the mods (Rub and a few others) I had installed were gone. So I figured in theory I should be back to vanilla + the 1.4 patch, and decided to try the TGW install right away instead of a full uninstall and reinstall. I figured odds-on something would go wacky, but it started up fine into TGW.

Then there's the content, and I know I've only scratched the surface, since I've only had time to navigate out of Wilhelmshaven and scoot across the North Sea. Suffice to say everything looks fabulous. I thought I'd have some serious slowdown btw on my somewhat older machine, although have 1G ram and a decent vid card. Just a touch of hesitation in harbour, considering all the activity in harbour not surprising and like I say only a touch of hesitation, so pleasantly surprised.

Could go on and on about the small visual and audio details, but they'd be spoilers in a way.

2 questions, if someone wouldn't mind answering:
1. The left-side menu bar sticks out a bit into the screen. Is there a way to hide it completely?
2. Something sticks down at the upper left of the screen, I think it must be the chronometer, but if I scroll over nothing happens. How do you activate it?

Tks again.

Thank to you for your kind words !

At the top left are a series of usefull charts (little white rectangles) click and drag to show them. the brown thing is the chronometer, click and drag to place it anywhere on the screen, the only drawback is this: to start/stop it you must do that from the periscope/uzo screens.

The chronometer works when you fire a torp the same as the inbuilt one but you can watch the chrono in any screen - even ext view so you know how long your torp has left
The shortcuts on the left can be altered - I think the mod you are looking for is called sliding stations

To hide the stations (that thing that sticks out on the left) open menu 1064_768.ini in the ubisoft\ShilentHunterIII\data\menu folder; click edit then find. Type G3F I21 and hit enter.(note that is I21 NOT 121). Change the line: Pos=-1,etc to Pos=1,etc; and change the line: HorizSlide=-30 to HorizSlide=-65; Save and close the file.
if you use any mod that changes the menu 1064 file, you need to make the changes in that file.
Any number above -50 will work in the HorizSlide line.
