I installed the Grey Wolves Supermod. It looks great. Al those ships in port.
But when I'm returning to my port after a patrol, my ship is hitting something you can't see.
I see my ship lifting in the air a little folowing with the sound of my compartments breaking.
When al my compartments are destroyed the 'game over' screen appears.
This happens about 40km from the port. Like an invisible wall?
Does anyone know what could be wrong?

:hmm: Does MINES ring a bell?
:rotfl:I kinda picture the same conversation going on between the captain and his officers. (Sorry, robbierob, I got a mental picture)

funny that it only happens when entering port. not when leaving.
Can you get around these mines? this way I can never finish my patrols.

I had something like that happen to me on the way out of the Kiel Canal on my first patrol. It took my hull down to 80% and broke a bounch of gauges in the command room. I had a feeling that I probably hit a mine... I was much more carful around there, and I was able to get past it with no problems.... :)

Well, i found a thread about how to remove those mines. Will try this when I get home.
Those mines are annoying!

Quite simply stay in the middle of the lane, and on the surface and you will never hit a mine. You will notice in GW (or any of the large mods with HT), that there is a warship slowly moving ahead of you, this is actually your guide. If you follow him he will lead you out safely. But as I said if you just stay on the surface and in the middle of the 'gap' out of your harbor you will be fine.
When you leave port following your guide, place a mark on the nav map where he turns around and heads back. When you come back from patrol, stop at that mark and wait, he will come out and guide you back into port.

Sounds more like an antisub net, actually. If you have the exernal camera enabled, you should be able to just look.

Sooooooo that's why that ship is always ahead of me when I pull out of the slip in Kiel....

At the top left corner of your navigational map, there are draggable maps for all friendly harbors (among other things). You can see the locations of anti-sub nets and minefields.
Tell me if you have any problem fiding them.
BTW, you don't have to actually return to your sub-pen or original position. If you are close enough to your harbor (30 km IIRC) you can hit the escape button and an option "Dock to: <harbor_name_here> will appear. You won't lose any renown doing that.

I didn.t find the draggable maps but I renamed the "GW_nominefield_Campaign_SCR.mis" to "Campaign_SCR" and the mines are gone :)
