View Full Version : Editing OGG files - CTD ???
Hi, I never seem to have much luck editing/creating ogg files, they seem to be fine testing with externall editors but ctd in game!:-? I don't know if it's the kbps rate, as this can be fixed or variable. Does anyone out there know, and if someone has success editing these, could that person give me the name of the editor, or the secret of how to edit them!:D
Many Thanks.

Hi Reece,
make sure that the .ogg files are edited to/in mono,otherwise SH3 would crash!

Hmm...:hmm:
which editor are you using now?
Edit:
P.s.: I think it's a configuration issue; e.g. don't use 'VBR' ==> 44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Mono, CBR
Wavelab (old ver3 - can't afford new version), what editor are you using?

Sound Forge (old ver6 - can't afford new version) http://img103.exs.cx/img103/6541/biggrin.gif
30 days trial version => http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/Default.asp
There's a free audio editor, but I didn't try it yet => Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/?lang=en
Greetings,
SSB

I have been using CDex to convert my mp3s into ogg and it works! I used version 1.51 of it, but there's a new version out, 1.7 I think!
You may read about it and get it here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdexos/
Thanks, I'll check that out as well, The one that does the best job at a reasonable price I will most likely purchase!:D
Cheers.

Since CDex is freeware, why not just try it and skip the payware...

Hi Reece,
I only know the german synchronisation; there the 'Large Block' is called 'Der Monolith'.
