Ok, I have changed things up a bit with SH3:hmm:
I now have two copies installed (clean install, patched to 1.4b and in sep directories)
one for NYGM and one for TGW mods, so do I need to install SH3 Commander 2.5 in the same way ?? or is there a way to switch from one copy to another ??
I know this is the silliest question, but I am a little slow when it comes to PC things and like to make sure I am doing something the correct way.
Thanks to any/all that help shed some light on this !!

There is this from the Commander help files:
Automatically finds your Silent Hunter III installation, however, can be forced to use any Silent Hunter III installation through inclusion of /l switch;
For example, you can create shortcuts to SH3 Commander for each of your Silent Hunter III installations and append /l:"<alternate Silent Hunter III path in quotes>" to the shortcut target. Should SH3 Commander still not find a valid installation of Silent Hunter III, you will be prompted for it.
But that is kinda vague so went searching thru the forums because I had the same question. Twelve pages back, using JSCones as the search term, I found this again: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=91210 . I knew that he given a detailed explation somewhere once.
