View Full Version : [Mod Release - New Ship] - Pyro Ammunition Freighter

I am now releasing version 1.0 of my Pyro Ammunition Freighter. The model is available for download on my FileShare page, which can be found in my signature.:yep:

This model is based on an American vessel, and so should be assigned to the United States. The UK and Japan also operated very similar vessels. I know that Germany, Italy, and France had ammunition freighters but I don't know if they looked similar to this one.

* NOTE - The skin in the second picture is just an unmodified NAXC/NPTR skin which is not included with this model.

Very nice freighter, AG124. Since it's an ammunition ship, can I assume it goes boom no matter where you hit it? It looks a little like your equally well done Converted Whale Factory ship, which I came up against just the other day. Keep up the great work.

How does one properly install a new ship ??

Will the ship work with NYGM & TGW mods ??

just sunk it in the campaign... :D



I´ve found a little issue:
something seems not to right with the renown, i only got 7 for the sinking.
Guess it has to do with the displacement value...
Perhaps the comma? :hmm:

@ Grey Legion:
There´s a NYGM compatible version (one file has to be switched and maybe the renown has to be altered) included.
A good readme is also in - so you should be able to add the ship to your game without trouble.

Check the .cfg for the ship in the sea folder of your sh3 installation

sorry, i´ve had make a mistake.
Renown is fine of course, problem is with displayed tonnage after sinking the ship.

It probably is the comma - I will fix that and release a new version now.:oops:

EDIT - There is now a new version available on my site. For people who have already downloaded the version with the mistake - remove the comma from the tonnage rating in the .cfg file in the NAMM folder.:yep:

It's the comma. Change displacement=7,025 to displacement=7025 and it work.

Just installed it. North of Ireland I spotted a medium cargo accompanied by a pyro freighter. Two torpedoes..and it burned like a torch. Very nice work....bravas.

Got a couple of questions:

#1 why does it's image show up so brightly in the rec manual ??

#2 I followed the instructions 100% but the boat does not show up as US it shows as part of the "general" sectoion in the rec manual ??

Any idea'a or is this the way it is, sorry to sound silly this is my first ship addon using NYGM 2.01..

You need to put the NAMM cfg file ( not the one in the Sea folder ) into the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Roster\American \Sea folder for it to show up as American - You will need to add to the sea folder for other countries if you want them to use it
