I've read in readme that GW has "Various Ship Skins- Marhkimov, Iambecomelife, Type-941, Sergbuto, Juju, Pascal" and "Multiple Ship Skin Mods-Sergbuto". SH3Commander has built-in randomiser for ship skins (SH3 Combined Skin Pack).
Are GW skins and SH3 CSP compatible or not? Should I use SH3Commander without CSP?

No. The CSP was originally included in SH3 Commander, but the files got so big that JScones separated them. Commander won't do randomized ships without the CSP.

Will I have random skinned ships using GW and SH3Commander without CSP?
What looks better - GW ship skins or SH3Commander CSP? I read that SH3Commander CSP skins aren't hi-res.

The CSP skins were done by Iambecomelife, who is arguable the best skinner out there. I don't know about the GW skins. I use both, and have a huge variety of different ships in my harbors and convoys.

A quick scan of the skins included in SH3Cmdr and the skins included in GW reveal that quite a few are the same (localised modified date comparison).

I would hazard a guess that the only new skins were those done by Marhkimov, Sergbuto, Juju and Pascal.

SH3Cmdr CSP includes skins for the following ship classes:
NAXC
NKGN
NKLS_
NKSQ_
NKSs_
NOTM_T2
NOTMs_
NOTSf
NPPL_
NPTR
NTR
NVV

The skins in SH3Cmdr will overwrite any skins with the same names in SH3.

So, your options are:
a) don't use the SH3Cmdr CSP, thus losing the randomised and era-specific ship skin changes, but gaining access to the GW skins;
b) renumber the SH3Cmdr CSP ship skins so that the first one has a number one more than the last one in the respective SH3/GW Sea folder (ie the last NAXC in GW is number T07, so start the first one in SH3Cmdr as T08). Then you'll get the duplicates as well, but at least you'll get access to both sets of ship skins

Remember there are two Sea folders in SH3Cmdr - one under 19390901 and one under 19410101.
