Beautiful!
Now if we could magically make it appear in campaign in every instance that it should be lit up like that, it would be perfect :D
They look really great, Anvart:up:
If you want some more info about nav lights this is a good site:-
It gives intensities, arcs of visibility and placement details.
http://www.cvs1.co.uk/wyenavigation/c.html#22
A power-driven vessel underway shall exhibit:
a masthead light forward;
a second masthead light abaft of and higher than the forward one; except that a vessel of less than 50 metres in length shall not be obliged to exhibit such light but may do so;
sidelights;
a sternlight.http://www.cvs1.co.uk/wyenavigation/annex1.html
On a power-driven vessel of 20 metres or more in length the masthead lights shall be placed as follows:
the forward masthead light, or if only one masthead light is carried, then that light, at a height above the hull of not less than 6 metres, and, if the breadth of the vessel exceeds 6 metres, then at a height above the hull not less than such breadth, so however that the light need not be placed at a greater height above the hull than 12 metres;
when two masthead lights are carried the after one shall be at least 4.5 metres vertically higher than the forward one.
It all depends on how far you want to go.
What you have done is really great!

Nice one again Anvart :up:
As you have removed the weapon nodes are you going to clone and rename this for use as a neutral only ?
Well what can say it looks realy good....BUT they never ran with NAV lights on did they.Still it looks great maybe in harbour only then when they get out to sea they go off?

My opinion: The lighted windows and the spotlight for the cargo are are just amazing brilliant :up::up:
I would prefer to have no position lights. The are too. colorfull, strong - Just white lighting looks better imho.
Great stuff.

The bridge or pilot house lights would never be white,:hmm: they would be red to preserve night vision.

I think you will find it unlikely that cargo ships in convoy or alone would be cruising about with lights on just asking for UBoats to attack. I think there were strikt rules even governing smoking outside as it was felt even striking a light would giove away the ships position to any lurking UBoat.
Nice mod, great to look at but not for me.
Jonathan
PS Of course I could be wrong

You are correct in that they would not be in a convoy,but this is not for convoy ships...this would be for the neutrals which did run with their lights on to help in identification.So it is accurate and historical in that case.

My father served on the military staff of a troopship that brought POWs back to the UK from North Africa. One of the prisoners was a general officer, and, as such, should have been given the best available cabin on the ship. However such was the fear of U-boats seeing a light that the ship's master refused to allow him a cabin with a window or deadlight, in case he took the opportunity to show a light to the "ever present" U-boat.

I have made navigating lanterns on wishes of the thread readers.
On a wish of readers I have reduced brightness of red and green lanterns.
Why not do a poll before release?
خت, guys.
What do you think about a flag illumination by spotlights?
This: :up::up:
Go for it

This will be a great neutral ship.
If you can also manage a light on the flag, as you suggested, that will be even better.
There is a big demand for lighted neutral ships in the campaign files of SH3.
Stiebler.
From my 18 years experience at sea, at night the only light on the bridge was an anglepoise over the chart table, and every now and then a torch over the coffee makings. Night vision was all important. Again forward facing port holes/windows had to have the deadlights closed/curtains drawn for the same reason. So in reality, during peace time and I assume on neutral ships during war time, the front of the superstructure of a ship would be relatively dark with possibly a faint glow showing through curtains in officer's cabins.
As I said to Anvart before, it depends on how far he wants/is able to go. What he has done so far is really good.

Thought that flag was gonna have a picture of batman in it :rotfl:
Great work as usual Anvart :up:
Anvart,
This looks really good, especially for Hospital Ships. They should be lit up with lots of bright lights (like a modern cruise ship), with floodlights illuminating the flag and the funnel (or wherever the Red Cross emblem is found).
When you're done with the T2 you might want to take a look at Iambecomelife's Hospital Ship mod to see how it might be lit up.

Awesome work! Is there a way you can change the color? to have more of a yellowish/tungsten lighting look? Like this?

Maybe tone it down some so it looks like there are dirty portholes and the ship has been at sea for awhile. This might help get the right effect in the day time so it isn't as bright.....yet still provide the illumination we need to see the ship and navigation lights at night.
Looks excellent. Can't wait to install it.
Hi Anvart
I see the red lights in the wheelhouse. Do I also see a sternlight, a masthead light and sidelights with arcs of visibility:) ????? It certainly looks that way.
This is looking good. You are putting a lot of time and effort into this one:yep: and it shows.

stunning stuff!!
American ships were ordered to light them selves up like christmas trees before they entered the war--especially those coming from African ports--
so i don't think it's possible to have "too many" lights on an American neutral ship..
