Grey Wolves Mod and the Tonnage Mod are temporarily unavailable through Subsim. The major mods section has reached its bandwidth limit.:nope::damn::down:

These files are the ones without the installer.

We also had significant traffic in the website. 3500 hits in ~4 days. I hope the issue with the Subsim servers is resolved soon.

Gizzmoe has set up a bittorrent link for GW 1.1a:

I am prevented from using P2P apps. Wonder if anyone would pack it up and toss it on usenet?

Since I added both the NYGM and GW mods the bandwidth usage has been enormous. I show over 450 people have downloaded both mods, using about 2 weeks of bandwidth on the server in 4 days.

Sorry, there's no way to keep them up as full time downloads, they're just too big!

I know people complain about rapidshare, but I have uploaded GW1.0 on RS and provided the links on my site! However, I don't provide GW1.1 update or the Overlay fix, since I have incorporated these in my add on for GW1.0, which you can read about here:

PS: Just curious: how many regular avatars are there on subsim? I have tried looking for this info, plus it would be cool with a list with the icons and their corresponding post requirements!

How do I use this....please break it down to the most basic level, i'm not very good at all this tech stuff:hmm:
I was up to part three when all this bandwith started.

Please remember that Subsim is a not for profit private site, so please donate here http://www.subsim.com/sh2fleet_forms/donation.htm if you can.

I'm also continuing to reply with the download link to those who e-mail me when they get the "We have reached our downloads limit" message :ping:

On July 1, Subsim will have a fresh slate and I'll switch the download links back on, hopefully for 10~15 days.

Here seems to be an alternative... http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=94791

But pls guys, don't all go rushing there or I'm sure you'll see the same result in a couple of days.

Here is a copy of NYGM 2.01 (visual patch already added)
http://mysite.verizon.net/~vze33y78/NYGM201.7z

Unless something unforseen comes up, I can leave it there till July.

I would be happy to host GW as well, but barely have room for NYGM...

Actually it's cool. There are no limits implied on me from the ISP (a normal Swedish ISP), and the site seems to handle it pretty well.. haven't been maxed out even.

Bandwidth limiting won't be neccessary on this site as I have bandwidth "shaping" set up; when the server really needs bandwidth it'll take speed from the downloaders, but when it's done you get it back, and your download speed will increase again. So there's no need for a hard limit (this is also called QoS for the nerds out there).

Added an automatic virus scanner for the "incoming" dir. So if you want to add a mod just upload it into that dir and email me or drop a txt file into the dir with an explanation, and I'll add it into the proper dir.

Can I have your permission to link this as an alternative mirror on the Grey Wolves web page?

Contact Neal Stevens (Subsim boss), make a donation to Subsim ($20 I think) and it may possibly be done...

No problem (again).
And now the server is getting quite a bit of traffic
Note, this of course is nothing negative, just an observation.
Gray Wolves really dominates the downloads and credits go to those who made it, for it really is popular:

P.S: If you want information about the server I added it in the readme file in the top dir.

hardcampa,

GW 1.0 was downloaded more than 10.000 times, excluding the bittorrent distribution channel, for which we don't have data. It seems that it caught the "pulse" of the community. The installer "golden" version is the result of the feedback we had from the players and is indeed very popular. This makes us want to make GW even better over time.

I really appreciate your offer of help in a time of need.

Hail for hardcampa!
