Using GW 1.a. Is there anyway for a contact to be confirmed via the target note pad. I can see the specific target by using the recognition manual but the contact never confirms on the notepad. even when seen by the bridge crew.

Hi Javelin. Welcome to the forum! Maybe in the realism options you have disabled both auto targetting and officer assitance? If that's the case then what you see it's normal.

I can only confirm what Von Helsching said. If auto targetting is disabled you can ask the weapons officer to identify the target. If WO assistance is also turned off, you're on your own.

To be correct, when you run the GW installation program you have options to choose from... One option is generic contacts. If you select/activate all of the options available in the installation program, you are selecting the generic contacts by so doing.

Sink them all! :D
