For the AI it is in the AI_Sensors.dat & for the U-boat AI it is in the Sensors.dat.

In each case it is under Visual, unless you are using the NYGM modified files as we have started to add extra visual values to configure to specific ships that gives for example better viewing by the escorts compared to the merchant ships. We have also then taken into account the eye height for the samller craft and we have for example reduced range but not ability for the elco.

Hi Teddy Bär,

ehhh, i meant not the viewing range of the AI but the grafical viewing range, you know ? It's always limited to approx. 9000m. I would like to increase it to give my new fast system that i will get soon something to do.

16 km Atmosphere mod. It's available as a standalone, also comes in the 'Optional' folders of GW and NYGM.

Works great: you can actually see lighthouses at almost 20 km.

Use #23 or #24 Atmosphere Light and Dark. Light is so you can see better at night, Dark is more realistic, but only if your monitor lets you see at all.

Also, If you have Grey Wolves these are already in the Optional Mods folder.

If I try to use this mod with NYGM 2.0 I get all sorts of warnings (JGSME)... is it okay to just overwrite the lot?

Hi... Deamon.

There are two version, one Dark and one Light, the diference is teh visibility at night.

I reworked my files to have a more light night, i cant remember well what i done time ago, if not remember bad i extract some textures, and make them more light, as sky and sea surface, but finally note the Clouds texture you use have the main influence over the visibility at night.

If you have a clear night, with no clouds at all you will have a very good visibility at night.

In example i am playing the NYGM Campaign Files now, wich have some completelly clear nights some times, in this nights i have an excellent visibility, i can hunt ship with my deck gun at night.

Visibility Mod had lot of adaptations of another mods, like the Big Moon, the Ocean Reflections.

There are final versions with all in one...
