Frame Rate Issue

When I first installed DW on this system, I could run it at 1024x768 at medium to high settings and I could get an fps of anywhere from 25 to 40. Now no matter what resolution or detail I set it at, it runs at 10 to 15 fps. What the hell is wrong with it, and how can I fix it?

Try to turn off shadows, try older or newer video drivers, get a new video card :D

That sounds like more of an issue with your system than with DW.

Run a virus/spyware/maleware check.

Try to think if you changed any configurations.

See what programs are running in the background and what system resources they are taking up.

Did you make any changes to DW?

512 mb of RAM
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Now, let me explain though, I could run this before at high detail without a slowdown, but something happened in which it now runs at 15 fps so matter what I run it at.

ok i wont laugh, however like u say should run it fine, wot driver are have you got for your grafix card??

i run P4 1.5gig ram and x700 ati

Well, nvrmind guys, I decided to reinstall DW and reaply the latest patch and it works fine again, that was definately weird.

Your GPU is worth more than your CPU; time for an upgrade sir :)

DW takes more CPU cycles than GPU IIRC.

Yeah, I know I need an upgrade, ill be gettin one shortly, but it works fine now after a reinstall.
