View Full Version : Fuel guages

The 'hand' indicators on the gauges are all set vertical at the 12 o clock position
& do not move. The fuel level is constantly max.
Initially I thought I'd successfully sorted my first ever mod. The panel looks great. It slides out & disappears just fine but I've obviously still got problems. Any help or advice would be great but should be aimed at someone who is fairly clueless ie Me.
I have used timetravellers FABC slideout mod. I installed the mod, mid patrol. Could this be the problem?

NEVER install a mod mid patrol - wait till your back at base

I've re installed the game & added the fuel guage slideout mod. I've started a new career & still no joy! The guages appear & retract just great but do not give the correct indications. I've added the 1.4 patch. Please help. I really, really want this mod.

did you add the 1.4 patch before the slideout mod?

For future reference If you uninstall sh3 again make sure you remove the ubisoft folder completely from C:\Program Files as well as the SH3 folder in C:\Documents and Settings\*your name*\My Documents ( saving any careers you have going at the time in -C:\Documents and Settings\*your name*\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers -- do this while in port NOT mid patrol )

After you reinstall SHIII ,patch to 1.4

You can then make a copy of the Data folder to somewhere else so you always have a back up ( you can copy the whole SHIII folder if you like and have 2 different installs of the game with different mods then )
Install JSGME mod installer and activate your mods thru this - much easier to deactivate a mod if not working right this way

Dont forget to add your career back to C:\Documents and Settings\*your name*\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers

Yep. I added the 1.4 patch before installing the mod.
Thanks for the info about saving career. I'm working my way through the Navel Academy again & it's SO tedious! I'm not in a happy place at the moment!

Maybe it's stuck. Hit it with a wrench.
