Orion Warrior Down?

Hello all just picked up DW and trying to get up to speed on all the mod/tips/tatcis. I saw several referneces for http://www.orionwarrior.com/forum/index.php but when I go there the site seems to be gone or down, is this site no longer maintained?

No, I think the domain name expired or one of the owner (s) forgot to pay the bill.

The domain name expired, and I have contacted Smuook some days ago (shortly after I learned about the problem) on this issue. However he has yet to get back to me with his intentions, so right now everything is in limbo (sorry for that). If Smuook decides to stop OW it would mean a break for the CADC as well (at least for a time, because the CADC is hosted on the OW webspace and I would have to look for some webspace to put the CADC back up).

I hope Smuook gets back to me soon and that we can get the sites (OW and the CADC) back online again. If not, then I guess the CADC won't be back up till September because I'm going to be away from home for July/August.

I'll purchase a domain and pay the hosting fees.

You just have to import the database, and tell me what i have to do to administrate it.

This is something I'm more than happy to do, assuming you can import the CADC database and get it set up before you go away.

Oneshot, anything cooking with Smuook?

So far I have yet to get a reply, but then I have the problem that till thursday I'm on a somewhat limited net connection where I have only very limited access to my eMail accounts. I hope that once I get my connection back I can get a hold of Smuook.

Ok, quick update ...

So far I have had no success in getting any hold whatsoever of Smuook, further I have no means of retrieving the files and/or database from the OW server (need Smuook for that). On top of that it seems that not only OWs domainname but another one I knew who Smuook administered has expired as well. Therefore I decided to acquire two domain names (not OrionWarrior) and I will set up some webspace once I fixed some issues. That means the CADC will get back online, probably not within a week but it will be back.

I will keep you guys updated on the progress.

The backside of all this is that a lot of the stuff that we put up on the CADC is sort of lost, I do have some old backups (nearly 6 months old, and I will try to recover as much as possible) but we will basically have to start anew. On top of that the next big version of vBulletin (the software the CADC was based on) is currently in Betastage and I gotta check if everything I want to use (in terms of addons) is compatible and working. I'm just reading through all the new stuff that is going to be in vBulletin 3.6 and I can't wait to test it all out.
