IXD Late war Skin

I got a wild hair and started messing around with the Gimp. Essentually i spliced Fubars IXC latewar skin with his IXD2 skin, and retoned it. Its not perfect, but its passible to my eye. Theres a few minor texture problems, but nothing too horrid.

EDIT:
Ok i think i got rid of that annoying white line on the bow for the most part. Its still there, but barely. graphical art was never one of my strong points. The water vents placement is a bit out of my league to manipulate.

Unfortunatly i felt compelled to darken the decks. The reason is, the very end of the bow and stern, the hull superstructure plating wraps around, so while it looks like part of the deck it really isnt. The more i stared at it, the more it annoyed me, so i had to change the color to get as close to the hull as i could. Unfortunatly that threw the whole deck color out of whack.

So i ended up darkening the deck on both the hull, and the conning tower.

Im cleaning it up a little. Got rid of most of that white line near the bow where the top and bottom of the hull meet in picture 3.

This looks great! A boat that looks like it's been around the block more than a few times and survived.
Just the thing to plug into Commander's 1944 or 45 date folder.
