I really would like to know how to assign a "air group" to a specific ship any help would be grateful.

Still not sure how to spawn Hurricanes for my CAM ship.
slap this in the data/sea/ship folder
in the ship.cfg file at the end
[AirGroup 1]
StartDate=19380101
EndDate=19450501
Squadron1Class=FBHurricaneMk1
Squadron1No=12
or similar--
and when within range of an airbase (or not depends on which school of thought you adhere too)--the ship will call in an airstrike according to the settings in your airstrike/cfg
data/cfg folder
best i can do---
some folks have hex edits etc for more complex results
i think you may need to pay attention to the squadron number..?
as AFAIK each airbase has it's own unique squadron number (which is kinda nice all by it self)

now if this is anything like the other units available for each country--
you can go to
data/roster/british/land
and add a unique airbase for your ship to use
adding a similar cfg file to the
data/land folder for it to reference
then maybe you have the option of customising the aircraft for that airbase so it just sends the plane you want
maybe there's a list of squadrons some where(im sure there is)
that you might be able to add a custom squadron number too--
so your new custom airbase can be added both to the ship and to the mission/campaign file
allowing some fine tuning of the results in game--
such as
the dates it is active

then it will only throw hurricanes at you and nothing else (in theory)and you wont have to edit any of the stock airbases to do it--
im sure their some fun to be had with this--

That's great printed it out for furtre ref.because I just can't find the right plane to assign to the Iowa BB.

That would have to be a unique 3D model- either the Curtiss OS2U Kingfisher or the Curtiss Seamew would be acceptable...unfortunately nothing we have in the game now comes close. It would be a nice addition though.
Is anyone working on a model of the F4F Wildcat? The jeep carriers need them for hunter-killer patrols with the Avengers.

In my opinion you shouldn't worry about the hurricats spawning off of the CAMs. They would have never launched to respond to U boat attack anyway. They were there to shot down FW 200 Condors- period. With only 2 aircraft and no way to get them back, and no weapons heavy enough to attack U-boats, it simply wasn't worth it.
