Sudden ctd,s and lockups!

I had sh3 installen on my system with lots of modes and it worked fine . But i reinstallen with patch 1.4 + Aces campain 1.6 + fubar viib skin . But now i get ctd,s and lockups . How can this be ? It worked fine before! Is this due to the mods?
