hi the Italian HC and LC I got from the grey wolves v1 mod ( a great mod by the way - the Sea folder is in part 4 of the download )- not sure if was posted elsewhere

The Italian BB is causing me problems in the museum and I dont know where that came from

I mean, I know the US had them in the Pacific knocking off the odd Japanese aircraft carrier and battleship in '43 or so, but does that I mean I'd have to take a IXD2 to Penang just to bag one?

Thanks for the link. I was a little disappointed that it was the standard liner with just four pipes and screws and two masts. It still looks good, though.

The Cunard folder isn't setup correctly. What you need to do is copy this line to your EnglishNames file in the Sea folder:

LUS=Cunard Liner

Then, you can copy the contents of the Sea folder from the Cunard ship to the Sea folder in your SHIII directory. The file inside the Cunard ship's Roster folder is not in the right directory. The Roster/British is right, but once inside the British folder copy the LUS file to the Roster/British/Sea folder in your SHIII directory.

To get the additional ships added, is it just install the skin mods? Or are there additional steps and/or mods needed to incorporate them into the sim? I don't know. I've been very careful on what mods I installed into the sim. Screwed it up once before. :damn: I do have everything backed up. :up: I've tried in the past installing the 1.4b patch. Doesn't work. But I get a message that it is already installed. Would this mean that when I purchased SH III last November the sim already had the patch installed? :-?

do you usejsgme mod enabler ? if so you can safely use this to add and if you have any problems it removes them easy enough

I have jsgme loaded. I haven't used it yet. When I finish my current campaign I think I'll dump everything and do a fresh reinstall. I'd like to find out for sure if patch 1.4b is included on my DVD.

So what else do I need for additional vessels?

the vast majority of ships come ready for instal with jsgme

a lot of the xtra ships are included in the major mods esp Grey Wolves

not sure which way you want to go or what mods you have now

to be honest I dont know if they incuded the 1.4patch in later releases - i am sure there must be a readme on the disc that will tell you

That is true. I'll the readme file and see. I'll worry about the extra ships later. It'll be awhile before I finish my second campaign I have going. Summer ya' know. And it's short around here.

Because I did the historical advisor role and beta tested the Seawolves Mediterranean (It will actually not be called that when it is released) I have a bunch of extra ships not in that list and some that are in that list but are different like the Hermes. Seawolves (at my insisting) started with a C-Class DD and then modded that from photos and drawings I sent them.
The USS Wasp was used to ferry RAF fighters to Malta on two occasions but I am not aware of any Essex class being in Atlantic operations.

I was going to edit GW SCR so it used the SW Italian ships but I have a separate Seawolves install which I prefer for playing in the Med.

I also have 2 Italian cruisers (not clones), 3 sloops (frigates, some Brit cruisers like the Arethusa an3 or 4 other classes. blah blah, there will be over 40 new ships in the package including more small merchants and a different armed trawler etc etc.
