?

a code breaking simulation? sweet. do we get to wear tweed jackets w/ leather elbows, smoke pipes, and feverishly work to decipher the message while surrounded by Oxford dons and pretty WAAF's?

Hehe thats what my sig is coded with. Enigma code. Beer to anyone who can decode it and tell me what it says.

Well its quite impossible to decode unless you have the machine settings.

Yes i agree. Normal transmissions afaik have the settings on the front and end of a message. Unfortunately with the real uboats they had code books to set the right settings to decode. Of course nobody has that - so i have to revert to a current method for coding.

So far nobody has been able to decode it. :smug:

I made this "Flash" codebook a while back but nobody seemed interested

I looked at it a while ago. The problem is it uses the M4 settings for the whole war. The M3 model (3 rotor) was used up until feb 1942 and then the M4 came into servince from feb onward.
