I am running NYGM Tonnage War Mod and I love it, but every time I see a new mod come out I wonder what im missing.

I would love to see the best parts of all the Mods combined into one "super Mod" of at least 100,000 tons that would need about 20 torpedoes to sink.

Im sure it would be a massive undertaking, but wow, would it be worth it. If you agree, then vote, and maybe one of the more gifted members (the kind who dont start polls begging for things) might take the first step?

Am I alone in this?? :hmm:

Thanks,

Conor.

I think its been discussed before. Its veeeeeeery unlikelly that some of the greates mods here will merge simplly because some people dont like or dont want to have all the stuff of a single package. Its a matter of choice really and its up to everyone to mod the game to their needs, their computing power etc. For example, I dont see someone with a 1.8 gig proc and 512 ram running GW.

I do like the idea of an all-in-one-mod-package.
But what I think a must have others do not like so the problem is what smaller mods should be included in the big one?

For me I combined some mods and changed the menu.ini file in order to get those working together.

I would love to have mods compatible to each other but this is virtually impossible - so its up to you.

In short: My answer is no - not because I would not have it, but because what I do like - others dont.

...I dont see someone with a 1.8 gig proc and 512 ram running GW.
What about someone with a 1.67 GHz cpu (XP 2000+) and 512 MB ram? ;) It runs very fluently most of the time, although I avoid going above 32-64x TC in harbor areas. Dual channel 2x256 MB DDR (400 MHz) and Hercules 9800 Pro 128 MB. Stock seafloor.

I think the closest your gunna get is grey wolves mod. It doesnt combine super mods but it comes close.

What are the 'best bits'? Your favorites are not mine. How many 'Combined Mods' should there be? 10? 100? We barely have room on this boat for the 50 men...no, wait; that's not right.

I do my own combining, and I'm fairly stuped when it comes to computers. I see combined mods as being a huge waste of time, unless someone other than the mod producers does his own combined version, gets permission from the other parties and releases it himself.

Obviously I voted no.

well, i have 1.9gb (athlon +2400xp)
and 512 ram

and it runs fine with GW...(with 16km visibilty)

i dont know why so many people say that GW needs suuuuch high sys.specs...

Well for me the only different GW has done, system speed wise, was increase the load times for the menu and mission. But that is due to the 1.9GB of data the system has to crunch instead of the 5-600MB.

i dont think thi one should drop off the radar just yet.

The downside with these polls is only the nay sayers get to speak their minds, but the poll results speak for themselves.

Same here. My tastes or not someone elses. Ive never used any combined mod package. Ive been combining my own , to my own taste for awhile now.

Only thing is, i think this time im acutally going to release what ive been combining. Infact im doing that today. As much crap as i talk on the mod forums, i fgure i might as well put something up.

The details of that is here:

Now if someone wants to use that collection, great! If not, i really dont care, i didnt really compile all of that to please a crowd, i made it to please myself (*cough* dont take that the wrong way)

But im most certainly not a "dev team". So its a take it or leave it deal ;)

Your best bits might be the bits I don't like

I love GW's it runs great I also like the integration of the NYGM damage modelling, BUT that aint gonna happen anymore. So I'll wait and see what GW comes up with, also NYGM mod was a little too hardcore for me....... So I'm just going to "STICK" with one mod from now on......GW and see it to the end....

Has everything that I need to play SH3 the way I want to play...NUff said !!
