just docked at Thalia ( in Cadiz ) Feb 40 -after a huge surface convoy attack with no escorts so out of everything :lol: and now mission is NULL and couldnt get to my medals for crew

Have GW1 and 1.1 thought there was a fix so you could get to your medals and would give you a new grid other than NULL and going home

Any ideas ? Have saved game before docking anyway so can always turn round and go back to Kiel but would rather have a fix :damn:

saved a while before docking as was gonna stop playing but carried on so can go back to that point if needs be

Unfortunately, the "NULL" patrol grid is still a problem with the milk cow mod. GW 1.0 and or 1.1 did not change this... or the standard ways to use the milk cow mod.

Just continue your patrol wherever you like after docking with the milk cow, then return home to assign medals/promotions etc.

This is a STOCK thing we cant fix atm. If you dock at any BASE that is NOT your HOME base, the above happens. All you will get is resupplied (although I'm pretty sure medals, promotions and qualification's are available) and a NULL patrol, is totally normal.

If the awards are not there then it may be just 1 of those lil annoying things that happen from time to time.

Ohh if your still in Thalia (have not started the Null Patrol), reload the AFTER MISSION save rather than the BEFORE MISSION at Thalia and if you goto the awards area you should see them. Then start Null Patrol.

SH3Cmdr R2.5 (not surprisingly) has an effective workaround for this. If you exit SH3 whilst in dock and select the career in SH3Cmdr, you can click on the NULL/0 patrol grid which will bring up a "Change" screen. Click on the "R" button and you will be assigned a patrol grid relevant to your Flotilla and date. SH3Cmdr reads the available grids from your Flotilla.cfg file so this is essentially the same as SH3 (correctly) assigning you a grid. You can click the "R" button as much as you want. Apply/Close and then launch SH3.

Just remember though that if doing this from a milk cow docking that you change the days in base value in SH3Cmdr to 1.

thanx to you all for your quick replies

cant install commander 2.5 yet as in the wolfpack campaign and we have to use 2.4 so we are all equal

will try to load from the after save to see if can give out medals etc as i know from previous exp when i get back to base they will be gone and only ones earnt on return patrol will be there
