Is there any way to change the font from the ingame messages?

The game fonts can be found under \SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\Fonts. They are tga files with associated offset files. The one you want (assuming I have understand you correctly) is FPArhi24.tga.

I've never edited one, but I assume, without needing to tinker with the off file, you could simply replace the current characters with characters of another font type (ie same footprint).

Note: You'll need to view the alpha channel.

Hey,it is possible!
Open the menu_1024_768 and go down to [G37 12],and change the Font,also in [G37 13] and [G37 14].Save menu_1024_768,and Ready.
