I've noticed that en_help.txt from stock GW is different than the same file from UC for GW when I read "Resupply info" in F1Help screen.
In stock GW version I see these available milk cows: U459, U460, U461, U462, U463, U487, U488, U489 and Max Albrecht, Bessel, Thalia and Corrientes.
In UC version I see only these: U459, U460, U461, U463, U488 and Max Albrecht, Bessel, Thalia, Corrientes and Brake.

In stock GW version all these milk cows are available more times than UC version - look at U459 for instance:

GW
U459 21/04/1942 to 12/05/1942 (BC74) North Atlantic
U459 12/06/1942 to 12/07/1942 (BC75) North Atlantic
U459 27/08/1942 to 25/10/1942 (GG89) South Atlantic
U459 27/12/1942 to 01/03/1943 (FU98) South Atlantic
U459 26/04/1943 to 27/05/1943 (BD71) Central North Atlantic

UC
U459 10/09/1942 to 10/02/1943 (GG89) South Atlantic

Which of these values are correct?
Why UC version is different than stock GW version?

Why UC version is different than stock GW version?

Because GW campaign is not equal to UC, UC is a mix Rubini do from the GW and NTYGM campaigns.

This is list of U459 patrols taken from John F. White's "UBoat Tankers 1941-1945. Submarine Suppliers to Atlantic Wolf Packs":

1. 22.03.1942 - 15.05.1942 Bermudas from Kiel
2. 06.06.1942 - 19.07.1942 on North of Azoras from St.Nazaire
3. 18.08.1942 - 04.11.1942 South Atlantic from St.Nazaire
4. 19.12.1942 - 07.03.1943 South Atlantic from St.Nazaire
5. 20.04.1943 - 03.06.1943 South Atlantic from Bordeaux
6. 22.07.1943 - 25.07.1943 South Atlantic from Bordeaux

Sinked 25.07.1943 on West of Biskaya Gulf.

GW version isn't exactly the same, but is more accurate than UC.

I think Rubini, when he did UC made a few decisions based more on gameplay then detailed historical accuracy. The evidence is in the date. I dont think any supply boat could stay four months at sea in one location.

In a way i like rubini's implenetation in UC. Before it was sort of confusing as to which milkcow will be available when planning your route. Well, at least now i know one will be there from 42 to 43 at that location. Of course, i never used milk cows anyway but thats beside the point. :88)

Hi jaxa,

How are you? And Peter? The pics from Poland winter was great! Specially for a tropical country guy like me...

I'm just wasting a little free time today looking at this forum again and see this post! :-j

Well, first of all, this modifications are intentional. As you already know UC is a mix of GW and NYGM campaign. In UC milk cow's stuff I used a mix from HT(GW) and Stiebler's (NYGM) ones: I hold the milk ships (Spanish ports) from HT mod and use the more simple approach for Utankers from Stiebler's. I also don't liked Stiebler's "solution" at first but after look deep at it I found it more concise and more easy to use without sacrifice the historical approach so much (a good and well scripted historical behaviour is enough...)
Like Ducimus said it's more easy and intuitive to plan your long range patrols now. ;)

Nice to "see" you again my friend! A special greetings to all this great community too!!

Rubini.
