View Full Version : Damaged Stb Diesel Engine with SH3Commander?

I've recently installed SH3Commander on my vanilla game, I used it to modify my crew qualifications.
When I enter a new patrol, the Stb diesel engine on my IXC turns out to be "destroyed" from the very beginning. I tried to return to base and start another patrol, still destroyed.
Then it turns out that every IXC in my game, no matter in career mode or single mission mode, and no matter what version (year) it is, has a "destroyed" Stb diesel engine. All other subs are fine.
Anyone has ever encounted a similar problem please?
Comments are appreciated, thanks!

I have this while trying out NYGM. My (wild ass) guess is that the crew cfgs are altered, and if you don't have enough crew in the diesel it blows up, it's happened to me mid patrol also.
PD
Sorry I can not help but I too have noticed this odd thing more so in 1944. Before leaving port message comes up engine destroyed very strange, maybe my crew has thrown a spanner in the works understandable for that time in the campaign. Hopefully someone will have an answer, I to have SH Commander. :hmm:

If your refering to the new crew requirements in the diseal/motor room, its purely graphical. You can acutally place the orginal crew strength in those comparments if you wanted to.

There is a thread on this:
http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=51172
It is a problem with commander and the IXC boats.
And there is a fix that works for most people:
Replace the current values in "Miscellaneous.cfg" with:
IXC=NSS_Uboat9c|x3007|275
IXC/40=NSS_Uboat9c|x3007|275
and see what happens. I haven't changed the other subtype values as I think the problem is linked to the IXC and IXC/40.
JScones says this fix will be included in the next release of SH3 Commander.
