I need your help. I'm working on a mission where I would like the Kitty Hawk carrier to not launch any aircrafts through the entire mission. Is there a way to force it to not launch any aircrafts. I know I could do it by "Add inflight aircraft" option (by adding all aircrafts inflight and setting probability of inclusion to 0), but since the CV has about 40-50 aircrafts on board, that would take a while. So anybody can help me, please?

Might be able to script it so it doesnt launch aircraft not sure failing that i think you can remove the air craft.

Have you tried setting its tactic to "transit"?

If you open the mission file in notepad, you can change its complement of aircraft. I don't remember how, though. At worst, remove the line specifying which air loadout it has.

And while you're there... find the line for the sea state and set it to something like 9 or 10... then try something bigger.

Don't forget to set the windspeed at 10000kts!

Thanks very much, i'm going to try both.
I won't be able to choose "transit" tactics, because she's a group leader in this mission.

Dear Morgan,
You can also set the ROE for CV to Peacetime in the beginning by script. Later they can be changed to War after meating dessired criteria by triger. You can also use Flight Shedule option for career aircrafts.

Thank you Micksp! The ROE was peacetime at the beginning of the mission, but the CV's aircrafts took off sometimes. The flight schedule is a good idea, but it allows only 30 mins to be chosen, so after half an hour aircrafts would take off I think.
The solution with opening the mission in notepad worked, I only had to set the number of planes to 0.
Thanks everyone for the help!

i thought if you dont assign ANY aircraft to flight schedule none take off.

no ?

It just takes 60 minutes from they decide to launch until they're in the air.

By default, all planes are at alert 60.

I faced a similar problem when I wanted a FFG to not launch helos.
What I did was to place the helo in the air to begin with and then ran a "Remove Platform" script at mission start to remove it.
It didn't have anything to launch after that.
Should work with the CV as well...

Couldn't you have also removed the helos from the FFG entirely at the mission editor loadout screen?

Make one POI=0 Aircraft and then copy it a bunch of times would work. You might need to start over for each aircraft type but it should take a lot of time off the task.

It doesn't seem posible. I see a "Default Loadout" option with one helo and a "Loadout 1" option with two. Nothing with zero (this is an OHP)
