Calling graphic modders...small SH3Cmdr request

I'm rather over the current SH3Cmdr banner and icon. I'd really like to replace them both with something "fresher".

As I'm about as skillful with a paint programme as I am performing brain surgery, I am calling upon some of the experts here to help me.

The icon is standard 32x32 pixels and the banner is 596x65 pixels (or proportionally scalable, but not too big or it impacts file size, either directly or indirectly).

I'd also love to add a small transparent paperclip to the top left of the Commander's image, if anyone would like to have a go?

Well, as JScones, graphics is rocket science to me too.

But, in order to have two different icons for SH3Cdr, one for my first installation and one for Grey Wolves, about 3 weeks ago I made this small simplified icon to honor a recently deceased Grey Wolf.

I put my vote in for iblitz's stuff!

All the banners are cool (sc8 is my fave), but the icon with the sub service badge or the iron cross are really nice. (I don't like the one with the sub, not enough definition in it. I know it's just a small icon, but there is something missing. The aqua devil is meh..)

can't you make the banner dynamic? like call to a .jpg file you place in a directory? I mean why stop with the customization with a program that customizes?

Simply Impact font. I don't like using Fancy fonts for such important titles. Well yeah, I think most people label me as commercial style :-j, I just don't like cut&paste jobs, I want everything genuine's work. I guess I can't get away with it since I do it for a living.

Perhaps we can persuade Jaesen to leave it user-customizable. Hehe, I'd enjoy having random titles for it (as an option) so that you get a new title image each time you run it. On the other hand, I don't want to take up time that Jaesen can use to make new SH3 Commander features.

Yeah, after seeing the awesome contributions here, I couldn't possibly pick just one. I reckon they should all be bundled together and SH3Cmdr will simply pick one at random each time it loads (a la Nightclub screen).

That way, users can simply choose the one, or two, or twenty, that take their interest.

Everyone happy about that? I suspect including all of these may add about 1mg to the d/l file size, so it won't be a problem for 56k users.

Anyway, if we're all cool on this (including most importantly the contributors), to avoid loss of quality, pls email me your .jpg images and I'll add them in.

Don't know if this is of any use to anyone....but, here is an online icon conversion tool...its pretty sweet...I use it to make favicons for websites....but, you could probably use them for sh3 commander if it needs the .ico format. The site lets you upload any image format and it scales and converts the graphic for you:
