View Full Version : GW and bad weather
hi.. sorry my english.. im from spain.. just a little question:: im using GW (great!! :) ) but all its perfect except::
when its bad weather: too much clouds, ****in raining and all, my oficials & cia in the bridge doesnt change the dress.. you know, like in original game that if its raining they dressed for the rain.. now with GW they are always with the same dress even its raining a lot... is this a bug? or its my ****ing computer?? :( its not necessary to enjoy the game but now its not too much realistic.. isnt it??? thanks a lot.

OK As for the Crew on the Conning tower not changing to the rain coat when it's raining, try out this, drag each crew on the conning tower to the rest quarters and place them back to the conning tower again, when you go there to check you'll see all of them
changed to the rain coat...
As for the weather , depending on the month and place on the map you are at and finaly the ocean the weader conditions mite change ,
but weather reflects also the time or season you're at, and winter is allways winter buddy!
i tried but it didnt work... im not sure, but maybe this could be the same problem i have talk about here:
http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=51341
it's not only about the rain coat and dress in the rain..
im also talking about maybe bad weather reports about the rain, that its nor working..
somepeople talk me also about it.. thay have the some problem...
:yep: :yep:

I did had that problem one time but since i've updated mi game with the Grey Wolves Mod it's gone and bad weather is back to normal, also there is somewere in this forum a litlle tweacking
gizmo that changes the weather confitions to the values you prefer but with me on most ocasions it didn't worked allways...
Thats defenetlly a "Hard Coded" litlle bug and untill we figure out the way to go around it we just have to live with it!!!

Hi guys.
Just to say it again... The GW team has done nothing to change the weather in SH3.
(Sigh :( ... another stock game bug attributed to GW.)
im also talking about maybe bad weather reports about the rain, that its nor working..
It happens to me often with the stock game and with GW also, the NA claiming that's not raining and it is, maybe it's a settings problem, due to slow hardaware I've to keep the amount of particles low, I'll try increasing the quality to check it.
Ref
Regarding the crew not automatically changing into their foul weather gear: It has been suggested by others on this forum that this is not a bug. The theory is that you have to send a man below for him to change his clothes. If a rain squall sweeps in, the watch doesn't all spontaneously get a new outfit! And in real life they would probably go down to change one at a time (after getting permission) because they can't leave the bridge unmanned...
How "realistic" would it look if you suddenly saw oilskins magically appear on the watch crew as the weather changed? If this was how it worked, for sure somebody here would complain about it!
Incidentally, the same phenomenon works in reverse - the topside watch will keep their oilskins on in sunny weather until sent below.
well, im little 'drunk' to make a lot of tests about all this ****in problem... :damn: :damn: :damn:
so finally, im going to do it all again, clean install of all the game and test it....
also cause before GW i have try a lot of mods and dont know now what to thing all about it... maybe crash something i didnt see
cause i dont finally understand why in the same 'game' some people get a problem, and with the same 'things' another people doesn't... :damn: :damn:
so i start this forum talking about i thing this mod GW is perfect.. cause im 34 years and i feel like a little child when gamming
i also have read that GW doesnt touch any of weather.. i didnt know it like that... but i also read we're waiting for GW 1.1   im 'ansioso' to see what's comming... :D :D
but you'll understand i need to know what its ****ing happening here...
thank to all of you to stay there
