I love this sim, believe me....but is there any way to import the kind of drawing tools that, for instance, SH3 uses?

Go to your local school supply store get a sheet of dry erase paper (like for overhead projectors), markers, some scotch tape, a protractor, and a calculator. ;)

Not to mention ruler, you forgot the ruler.

I also printed off some maps of the area's i dive in single player utterly useless in Mp of course.

Well I ment the Protractor that has the ruler built in. ;)

TL - That 'strips' clever but irritating. That strobe stuff should carry a health warning.

Are you on commission ? - What next Macs and Coke ? ...................Heck if it catches on this site will look like Vegas.
It even makes Kapitans look subtle ! :yep:

Sorry its a 'No' vote here - big time. :damn: :hulk:

Playing devil's advocate here:

So this is exactly what the skipper of a SSN uses to plot course resolutions, etc.? There should be a protractor, etc. built into the map that you can pull up to measure and estimate bearings with. Sorry, but that is how I feel about it. I've had SC for a long time and having to place a protractor on my screen when I want to estimate something gets really old, really fast. It works, but....

highlight your sub or ship or platform by right clicking it hold the mouse down and press R thats a good key to use exactly like the protractor, gives breaing range and also cordinates.

Don't pay to much attention on Bellman, Sir. He is able and willing to make your head explode. ;)

You obviously missed TLs pyrotecnics - they made the eyeballs melt. :yep:

Heads are difficult to explode - you can sap them psychologicaly to cause an implosion, I'm told,
and you can inflate them with crap.

The trouble with the 'R' routine is you get a radius but you cant draw a line in Nav that sticks. In MD yes NP.

Wish SAS would give us more drawing aids - I am working on a system which needs more Nav symbols
there are limited ways that you can combine the existing elements, but it can be done.....just !

Of course I do. :) What I was inquiring about was the MUCH more sophisticated tools that are available in-game on SH3. I really abhor the idea of drawing on my monitor, even with dry-erase pens.

The ruler in SH3...well...rules. :)

I have the calculator at hand, and don't really need the protractor much, I can calc angles and resolve courses fairly well, for an ex-groundpounder. :)

I just would appreciate the expediency of being able to drop a ruler line on the map, you know? :)

As much as I would love to it doesn't. It only has the ability to make circles and mark points while play is in progress.

I have spreadsheets that I run on my laptop while I'm playing to supplement my lack of drawing ability.
