Introdution


Hello everyone, this mod was originally made cause of the new and fantastic Recognition Manual released recently by JONZ,
Since it was requierd a numpad feature to be able to view the complete manual, i just thought that it could be great to merge
The 6 Dials- Simfeeling Mod. plus some extras of mi owne like the ler tga file and the Flaggen tga file...


There is not much to say except that when you play you'll no long have to see your console bloquig the view to this
new recently added mods...


So now you can play Grey Wolves and Grey Wolves with Integrated Orders with all this add ons and Jonz recon manual freelly...

- 6 Dials- Simfeeling Mod.
-Slideout console
-And stealthmeter plus Silent Running relocation
- Partes of Boris interface mod
-Flaggen mod
-Leer mod



Instalation

JSGME Ready

Just drag the Slideout Dials for GW or GW with IO, to the JSGME MODS folder inside Silent Hunter III Directory. and eneble the mod with the Generic Mod enabler!

SHORTCUT FIX FOR GW STAND ALONE


Tonnage_Ace presented me a problem that it mite hapend for the ones who install the stand alone version of this Mod...
I'm sorry about this since it was mi mistak in the first place,...
I understand after i saw this problem the first time that this Hapends because JONZ as made some adjustments to the shortcuts original sliding panel, so that the improved Recon
manual fited better in the screen...
The Shortcut panel that comes with the stand alone version of this mod is in fact the one that comes with the original Integrated
orders Mod, so it's larger in Hight, and interfeers with the JONZ manual...

You've got to check your Menu_ini cause for me it sounds like you've got one of this to things:

- Did you install the correct version for your Mod?
- Did you add the changes yoursellf to the menu_ini, cause the files
here allready have Menu_ini file included and they wirk ok!

If you done the changes yoursellf to the Menu_ini, it looks to me that you've added to many spaces betwin each entrance, it as to have equal space betwin all off the entrances, another thing is that problablçy you could repeat numbers and that will give all kind off diferent reactions, one is that, and another is errors informing of missing ID Numbers...

Tell me if this helps if not give me a litlle mor detaille on the
problem??? :up:

PS: You also can uninstall the mod and reinstall it again , sometimes it works, just make sure you don't install after any mod that haves changes to the menu ini or Dials cfg, or En_menu ...
Cause it will overwrite it and provoque errors ...

For those who have that Problem with the Old visible console with high Res Mod.

I have made this mod with my normal Plus the GW Mod installed 1024x768 solution, so i cannot tell you how it works on high Res Mod.
Maybe it is not compatible with the HighRes Mod.....

I've got a bit of a problem where in JSGME, I have GW enabled as well as JIRM, I downloaded your GW stand-alone mod, then downloaded the Leer fix(I think that sharpens up the image below the nav map) and trying to avoid problems, I enabled everything in that order so it looks like this:

Activated Mods:

GW
JIRM - Grey Wolves
Slideout Dials for GW_en
Leer fix

The problem is that Jonz's improved manual(JIRM) is reverted back to the default one:

And the Leer fix doesn't seem to fix the sharpness issue because as seen in this picture,

About the leer fix isue, you can see on the first post the old leer,
and the fix i've made was just in efects and look cause the original was a litlle out of Focus, nothing that can afect the JONZ manual...

The problem there is your shortcuts panel if you look carefully you'll see that is out of place...

you've got the fix bellow bro. Mi mistake sorry, just forgot to add that shortcut file when made the uploads... :dead: :-?

SHORTCUT FIX FOR GW STAND ALONE


Tonnage_Ace presented me a problem that it mite hapend for the ones who install the stand alone version of this Mod...
I'm sorry about this since it was mi mistak in the first place,...
I understand after i saw this problem the first time that this Hapends because JONZ as made some adjustments to the shortcuts original sliding panel, so that the improved Recon
manual fited better in the screen...
The Shortcut panel that comes with the stand alone version of this mod is in fact the one that comes with the original Integrated
orders Mod, so it's larger in Hight, and interfeers with the JONZ manual...

2. I've also found that either your's or Jonz's mods have made the weather icon on the watch officer's commands disappear, it is, however still operational as you can see my mouse cursor highlights it:

That , i'm not sure why it hapends , cause in mi game works fine, maybe after you install the new shortcut tga. it will fix all those bugs bro...

anyway if the problem on the picks remain there after the new install you're making i'll have a look into it...

- Now enable all the mods, and at the final, install the last 2 by this order:

- Jonz IMP. RECON. Manual.
- GW stand alone Slideout dials mod

If this will not corrects the bug, take of the last leer fix, version and test the game again... :rock: :up:


I'm sorry about this mate, but it's got to be a small detaill for shore, as for the slideout shortcut it's correct that new one, when it's not in use it will hide completlly... :up:

However what I was going to say in the beginning when I said I had a hunch was that I would take your mod, put the leer fix on top of that, enable it first and then JIRM. Thinking that Jonz's mod(JIRM) replaces the default rec manual with his through JSGME and THEN I'm replacing that with your mod which somehow has the default manual...I just figured that I would first enable your mod(with only the leer fix) and THEN JIRM....but alas, as I booted up SH3, I got these results:

If you've downloaded the GW Stand alone version of this mod, pls redownload it again...

Corrected an error on the Menu_ini file that was prevented for this mod to run propally....

Also if you download the fixed version you don't need to download the Shortcut_fix_For_GW_SAlone , it's allready included...

GW mod turns all your contacts black, the only way to change them back(red, blue, black) is to go into the optional folder in GW, you'll find the files there to revert back to default.

uninstalling everything again, and enable the mods by that order , also delete the old New dials mod from the MODS JSGME Folder,
and add this new one, it haves no layer version so it will be optional
for you to install if you whant...

Make sure you don't have both versions of mi mod installed brother this could be because of that bro...

for this mod install just this new fixed version , it's equal to the old one but with the fixed Menu_ini ... :up:

All of the times I've tried, I've used freshly downloaded copies of your mods, so it doesn't have anything to do with installation. Basically the only problems I'm having are the two I listed above:

1. The screen at the bottom of the nav map being doubled.

2. The icons on the left being washed out on certain screens.

Other than those two problems, JIRM works awesome and everything else is great(I especially love the slide out compass, great to actually be able to set the exact course I want down to the degree). I know this sounds wierd but I hope you can solve these problems by the afternoon cause I won't have access to the net for a while after that.

Ok lets try out something...

First try this with the Leer version that you've got there...

- Insted install it with the mod enabler, just drag & Drop the Leer tga file into the Layout folder of SH III /data/Menu/Gui/Layout...

- If the problem remains with the lerr version, go to this Topic:

Download the old version and instal it with the mod enabler ...

Yeah, but sorry try it the way i've talled you drag & drop directlly into the SH III respective folder, and overwrite when prompet.


Sometimes ther are Tga. files that the JSGME doesn't overwrite the right way, so if you past the tga file directly into is place at the SH III it will replace for sure the Leer version and fix the bug... :up:

Following this steps:


- Disable all Mods, and backup the JSGME MODS Folder to your desktop, just the MODS Folder with all your mods that you'll need to install later...

- Uninstall the generic mod enabler, and go to the SH III directory and delet all remaining JSGME Files, like the Mods folder that will
stay there after the uninstall...

- Reinstall the JSGME again, and run it to creat the MODS Folder, and move your backedup mods on the desktop Mods folder to
the recently created MODS on SH III Directory...

- Enable all Mods again by the previous order enabeling the JIRM
and mi mod after in the end...

-Test the game...

The reason why Tonnage is having problems is , I think, have missing tgas.

Why the icon and background is not showing properly is because of two factors:

missing tga

or a bkgr.tga that has been blanked out.

My guess is some of the tgas in menu/gui/layout/*orders.tga are missing, and the taskbar missing background is perhaps because it use a blanked tga file by the original simfree mod.

I'm not implying anything... just guests to find your solutions.

No mate just pick the leer you prefer, and for the fix download the Menu ini fix on the first post, if you don't whant to edit that for yourself...

the fixed menu_ini is next to the new fixed version of the mod download... :rock: :up:

Man i don't know what to do any more bro, the files you've got
now is the ones i've got running since tested this version,
i still think you should do the manual leer version pasting inside the SH III or if it doesn't wok just, follow the steps on this:


- Disable all Mods, and backup the JSGME MODS Folder to your desktop, just the MODS Folder with all your mods that you'll need to install later...

- Uninstall the generic mod enabler, and go to the SH III directory and delet all remaining JSGME Files, like the Mods folder that will
stay there after the uninstall...
The importante thing is that you don't live nothing from the JSGME after uninstall it...

- Reinstall the JSGME again, and run it to creat the MODS Folder, and move your backedup mods on the desktop Mods folder to
the recently created MODS on SH III Directory...

- Enable all Mods again by the previous order enabeling the JIRM
and mi mod after in the end...

-Test the game...

Did you download the new complete fixed mod or made the alterations yourself???

If it doesn't work download the new version fixed and delete that old that you've got , install it and lets see...

As you can see....I FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS!

I did it by following your instructions about manually altering the manual.ini file and inputting the leer.tga fix values copying and pasting.

What I did from the beginning was download your fixed mod and the improved leer file. I then copy the leer into the fixed mod and enabled it to replace the leer.tga. After the mod was enabled, I went into my main SH3 folder, went into the menu file and copy and pasted the leer.tga fix found in your first post:

Now all I can see is the position of the stopwatch being a bit off. In GW it used to be on the right side of the papers, now it's default place is on top of them. No biggy, I don't care if you don't fix this but it's the only thing I can see thats holding this mod from being perfect.

Ok TA, the problem that realy it's not a problem, is that after checking the Chrono positioning and comparing it to the original position on the GW mod is that this one i used is the most recent update on the chrono itself, in the original GW chrono the sise and form on the graphic were slightly long and more like a rectangle, the new one Jonz as made recently haves a new switch on the top of the chrono and is more like a square in form...

Obviously Jonz add to adjust all the position values on the menu_ini to fit the new version onto the Screen... so really i think that the only changes that can be made is just on the chrono horizontal screen positioning, more to left or more to right, i'll have a look into that as soon as i can possibly do it... :up:

Don't hurt your brain too much jcwolf! You did an awesome job with this mod, I think it's incredible with the sliding out dials, pretty awesome. The stopwatch isn't such a big deal, but maybe if you had nothing to do sometime, you could look into it.

The other problem I forgot to mention was the weather icon on the watch officer's commands disappearing. Although, this mod is so great I'm willing to look past these two glitches. Again, awesome mod! :rock:
