Hello guys Since i've made this merging for mysellf to tha NYGM Mod i've decided to advance for you the merged files of this mod.... :up:
This is a Beta version cause i'm selecting some more features to add in this merged mod...
All the Mods are not mine and the full credit from them goes to their respectiv creators....

Mod Features.
The Pack 6 Dials- Simfeeling Mod., TransparenteKonsole , 6SlideoutAnzeigen Update brings
to the NYGM Tonnage War Mod v1.03 The whell knowned 6 DialsSlideoutmod to your right side
ingame screen.
The Original Console (those 6 Dials at the right Bottom) will be deactivated by this Mod,
because they are replaced by this "new" ones.
This are the new Dials:
- The new 25 Meter slideout Depth dial
- Slideout Speedtelegraph
- Slideout Compass
For each one of this Dials you have the normal 2 Look options.
It is also included the slideout Console (because the old one is desactivated with this mod),
this new console will slide out toghether with theOfficer IconsConsole if you move to the
Bottom with your Mouse, and the Stealthmeter is docked to the right side of the texfield
and will slideout with The all console Depending on your NYGM realysm options are set
to show the Stealthmeter, the Symbol for the Silent Running is docked to the Left side of the
Textfield over the Officerpannel and will slideout toghether with the console also...
And finaly The recent Draggable Wood casing Chronometer V1.0 from JonZ That brings
to the NYGM Tonnage War Mod v1.03 a Draggable Wood casing Chronometer to all screens
in the SHIII, with this you'll have the Chronometer allways Handy and available at any time...

INSTALLATION
There are two ways for intalling this NYGM Tonnage War Mod v1.03 Upgrade
JSGME INSTALLATION
Just Drag&Drop or copy&Paste the Drag. Chr. & 6AnzSimf.EN_For NYGM Toon. Mod Folder into:
C:/ Program files /Ubisoft / Silent Hunter III / MODS folder , and activate it with the JoneSoft
Generic Mod Enabler. And it's ready...
MANUAL INSTALLATION
Step 1
Back up original files at first. ( menu_1024_768 , en_menu( in data/Menu folder) , And Dials Cfg. ( In data/Menu/Cfg Folder)
Step 2
Open the Drag. Chr. & 6AnzSimf.EN_For NYGM Toon. Mod folder by folder and Copy and paste
each included File insside it to the correspondent directory in SHIII Data Directory...

Got to be able to download it first bro....it has been almost impossible to download that Mod...
I'm preparing to add some more features to that one above, like convoy map on the right top corner, among some more litlle but usefull detaills, when finished the download of IUB I'll talke it over with Jonz... :up:

I tried to merge the SimFree mod into the IuB 103. Unfortunately I didn't succeed. Not because I did not enter the codes correctly but because the mod just kept kicking me in the Desktop because I use two monitors and I found it very unconfortable to use with the FBAC slider.
Once I will have finish with IuB 103, I'll move to my next plan to try to simplify the interface by using SimFree mod and some new features I have in mind.

how did you instal the mod manually or Mod enabler...
That is the compass bro...i really never tryed to move it manualy, but , change direction and see if it moves, and clik on the buton to select the other compass style and try with the other one....
I'm asking this cause , manualy usually people forget to instal The EN_Menu file that goes in the same folder as the Menu_ini file....
If it's that try to copy or drag and past the 3 files only, ... Menu_ini , En_menu , DialsCfg. to where they belong....
Another detaill is that, i've made that mod with only NYGM mod and NYGM terrain upgrade installed, so maybe it could be a cross if you've got any other installed than those 2.... :)
Info me then some feedback on the results bro...

:rock: :rotfl: :rotfl: Ok as you can read at mi above post , you've got some more mods instaled than i, but,if none of them is using your Menu_ini and the other 2 changed files than follow the moves i tell you ....

fantastic mod, the slide out dials are really great, enhances the NYGM tonnage mod.
The order i have installed the mods are:

I also have found that i can't change the rudder settings on the Rudder dial.
I installed all mods using the latest JSGM mod installer.

To get the rudder to work you need to grab the Original Rudder gauge download for NYGM and add the 6 simfeeling dials from there. NYGM had replaced the rudder with a stopwatch so when you add the 6 simfeeling dials the rudder isn't really there anymore to use.
My rudder works fine after grabbing the original rudder gauge and modding from there. I manually edited the menu1024 ini and dials cfg and it works great.

The changes in menu and dials are listed in the readme of 6 simfeeling dials mod. Just follow the instructions.
Thanks for the info, downloaded the original dials mod.
Extracted the files, placed the original dials folder in my MODS folder
So i then rolled back Sub Cmdr. { i am in dock}
Via JSGME enabled the original dials
started SH3 via Sub Cmdr
loaded my career and stared a patrol. The rudder dial had changed back to the original and worked fine, docked and exited game
So i next roll back Sub Cmdr,
Via JSMGE enabled 6 simfeeling dials mod [mod enabler told me that the menu and dials files had been altered by Tonnage mod and original dials mod] so clicked ok to go ahead.
started SH 3 as above,
Loaded a career and stared a patrol,
New dials all there but rudder dial still didn't work?
Oh i did back up my original menu & Dials files , just in case.
A bit stumped as to why it doesn't work. especially as the mod enabler informed that the menu & dials files had been amended by the first two mods and it was going to change then with the 6 simfeeling dials mod.
any ideas, thanks

I don't know why that didn't work magwr. It sounds like the NYGM non rudder version crept back in there.
I edited the menu ini and dials cfg by hand because I wanted to customize the transparent bottom console to not slide out and add quite a few other menu1024 ini based mods. It's very easy and only takes 5 to 10 minutes.
Does JSGME append the menu ini and dials cfg file? Or just overwrite the old with the new? I thought it just overwrites the file with the new so if you wanted a few different mods that made changes to the ini you needed to make them by hand.

The mod will work perfect when installed over the NYGM Tonn. and the NYGM Tonn. terrain upgrade, if you add anything more i'm afreid i can't help guys, not without checking mysellf in my SHIII game, sorry cause not an expert in this Computer game Language.... :up: :up: :up:

Could be wrong, but I was under the impression that was the only way to get the 6 dial mod working as it doesn't have a menu1024 ini or dials cfg included (at least my download didn't). I thought you had to follow the readme and manually edit those 2 files after putting the tgas in the right place.
As long as you backup those 2 files, have no fear editing them. The readme included with 6 dials mod is very easy to follow along. You just copy and paste from it more or less. The only "hard part" is making sure the number sequence is correct.
Going to try editing the two files and see what transpires from there.
I load everthing via the JSGME mod enabler and haven't done any manual editing to anything. I enabled the 6 Dial one from JSMGE and it al loaded up great, [except for the rudder issue].
Have tried all sorts of different mods this way and all have worked with no problems. That's why i find the JSGME enabler so good. Just pop the folder in the MODs folder, roll back Sub Cmdr and enable the mod and bingo off you go.
Will post what i manage to naff up and crash with my editing and any cries for help :lol:
Found the file with the information to paste into the ini file, so started on that easy so far.
BUT how do you open the dials.cfg file, windows keeps telling me it doesn't recognise the file and it is spectacularly unhelpful in identifing the programme needed to open it. I am using windox XP home edition.
I am totally stuck at the moment with the cfg file now, what programme do i need and where can i get it please. :damn:

Shows what a total novice i am, didn't know what a txt edittor was.
Well, carefully edited the menu.ini & dials.cfg file, the original dials ones. Also noticed that there was some amendments for the en_menu.txt file. left that one at first.
Carefully checked what i had done, easy really. Thought i would copy these files into the relevant places on the 6 dial mod. Then enbled it via JSGME.
Game half loaded and i then got menu id not found, loads of these messages and the game didn't load any further.
So, thought ah must mean i have to amend that en_menu.txt file. Did that, enabled mod. Primeval scream later as game half loaded and menu id not found messages came up.
Oh hum, so i followed the manual install in the read me file, backing up all the files that i had to replace, & quite a load of files to add to various places.
Thought got to work now. Well no the stealth meter was missing, the officer icons missing etc.
So went back to the my original dials configuration.
At least i have got the origianl rudder in the NYGM mod now, instead of the time piece and the rudder works.
Any ideas? :(

Yeah and also as it hapend to me you have to be carefull with
the spaces you leave betwin every entry, cause if you live diferent spaces most of the times the game will not recognise the Ini file... :up:

My menu ini, dials cfg, and en_menu.
I have NYGM tonnage 1.03, NYGM terrain add in, NYGM enhanced nav map plotting tools, NYGM original rudder, SildeoutAnzeigen(6 dials mod), TransparentKonsole, the updates to the SlideoutAnzeigen, and 1NaviMapHintergrund(navimap mod), and draggable stop watch (all changes to enable the draggable watch are made in the menu ini and dials cfg) installed (plus a few graphical or sound mods that do not change the menu ini, dials cfg, or en_menu).
If you want to use this you'll definitely have to have the TGAs from those mods in the right place. I'd suggest getting those mods enabled/installed (6 dials, transparentkonsole, navimap, and probably NYGM enhanced nav map plotting tools) then dropping in the menu ini, dials cfg, and en_menu to see if it works. Backup your original 3 files in case this doesn't work. I'm using NYGM so if you don't use NYGM, I'm not sure how well these 3 files will work for you.
I made a change to the TransparentKonsole so that the bottom portion doesn't slide out. If you want to change that, search for "vertslide" in the menu ini and get rid of the semi colon that starts the line. If I remember right, there should be 2 of them that need removing if you want that part of the console to slide.

FLB Sale U-999 wrote a great read me and put in great comments by his menu ini changes for navimap and 6 dials as did JonZ with the draggable chronometer.
well, waded through the files i did, until i went cross eyed trying to see where i had gone wrong.
Then noticed you had psoted you files, very kind of you.
The only mods i don't have are:
TransparentKonsole
the updates to the SlideoutAnzeigen
draggable stop watch
used the search facility at the top of the page to find these!!! Found a 4 dial update, but the others nada. So i then checked out the real simulation website and found:
stopwatch.rar and transparentdialsofficer.zip, are these the files you mean?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but trying to find something via the search engine in the forum is a nightmare of threads. :)

-Comes with the 6 dials mod. When you uznip the package you should get a Slideout Anzeigen folder and TransparentKonsole folder. Just get the TGA files in the right place.
the updates to the SlideoutAnzeigen
-Entirely changes to the menu ini, you don't need to download anything if you are trying to use the files I posted as I made the changes
draggable stop watch
-Nothing additional to download. All the changes needed to get a draggable stopwatch are in the menu ini and dials cfg of the files I posted.

didn't recall seeing the Slideout Anzeigen folder and TransparentKonsole folder when i unpacked the drag.chr.&6anzsimf_en for NYGM toon mod.rar
so i downloaded the rar from the link at the start of this topic extracted the mod and i definately don't get these folders. i have
drag.chr.&6anzsimf_en for NYGM toon mod folder with data/menu/cfg/gui/layout folders only
&
drag.chr.&6anzsimf_en for NYGM toon mod additional documentation folder only
i use winrar to extract the files, would this be causing a corrupt extraction, hence the missing folders?
hopefully i will see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. Feel i am doing something wrong to be missing the relvant folders
Checked through the other pages on this topic and the first page link was the only place i could find to download the file.
