Guys,

given the problems with the torpedoes and the TA, don't you think that at least a HOTFIX should be issued?...

Well..In Akula(the most sensitive platform for TA) i still didnt managed to loose my "tentacles" :88)

But i agree. We need Fix at least for that "Drunk" Helmsman

Do we want it ? Oh yeah !
Will be ? Not any soon I guess. While SCS is not really dropping support on their titles, they are known to take their time, and there is not even a slightest info about 1.04 or people working on it.

Well, personally, I am relieved that the pinging issues are related to ownship only: you will hear the ping when it is preenabled, but no one else will.

These sorts of things are inherently different than the Sound vs. Speed issue from a year ago. In that case, a simple edit to the database was enough.

However, these issues are in the code itself, and believe me, Hutch has put a huge amount of time into it already from where it was.

In my mind, with LWAMI 3.01 out now, all of the biggest issues with DW are at least stable, and the game is at a great place. With the major bugs suppressed and features all implimented, the process of expanding the game can begin in earnest. :know:

LuftWolf,

I have to agree with you that the game has been improved and that even though there are some things left to correct, it is a great game with a lot of potentiality. I'm of the opinion that mission developers have not yet gone to the full extent of the mission builder and that if a "russian" side pack will be issued, the ASW may even become secondary. Goldorak and I had a FFG training mission lately and we had so much fun engaging the KARA with missiles and cannon... :arrgh!:

Let's hope the game will be supported by SCS...the only thing I can do is to buy the european box version when it comes out... ;)

The potential for mission design in DW is so great that it takes time for more than a handful of persons to get a good feel for how to design great missions.

The good news is that the best is yet to come... I feel the better the overall performance the simulator has, the more inspired mission designers will be in their creations.
