EXPERTS...HELP?

When my game is loading for a continue of my campaign.... right at the end of the load the game crashes. It is almost completly loaded in the command room and then it tanks. I remember someone finding a way to recover this bug. I have SH3 Cmndr installed, was there a file in documents settings I should delete or something like that?

is this when you have already played one mission and then return to base and then head out on another mission without exiting from SH3?

My game started doing that after I installed one of the realisim Mods .
I wish I could remember which one?
I ended up having to do a complete reinstall.
Make sure when you do your install to deleate SHIII Commander and clean the registry out as well.
Mine kept doing it even after The new install until I cleaned all the Old Missions out and cleaned the registry as well.
After you get your new Install copy your data folder somewhere on your drive or desk top so you have the original files in case this happens again.

I think it's about how much your computer can handle :

I had the same problem while installing this mod: SH3world3.0

My computer was doing the same thing, and i had to remove this mod. ( i probably had not enough RAM, and SH3world3.0 IS NOT the problem)

My computer:
--- 2.2gighertz AMD 3700+ (San Diego)
--- 512 Megs DDRAM
--- ATI RADEON X300 256MG PCIE
--- 80 GIG HD SATA

What you could do:

- you could install one mod and test it before installing a new one.
(you will then see which one makes it crash)

****You could do this trick: (A smart guy in this forum proposed this, but i don't remember who)

- Start SH3
- Ctrl + Alt+ Del (You'll then get the windows task manager)
- Right click on the sh3 process
- Go to ' Set Priority'
- Choose : Above Normal

If it doesnt work, you should make sure you have enough RAM.
(1 Gig. recommended)

My computer is a P4 3.2, 2 gig ram, 2 hd, 2 dvd's, ati x800 xt pe, 24" dell lcd. It handles this stuff ok. It is some other problem and I am pretty convinced it is Commander.

How do I clean out the registry?

Do you have other mods installed? Which version of SH3 Commander are you using? Any files or anything that you have changed recently?

Im sure that if it were SH3 Commander doing this, someone would have reported it by now... as thats pretty severe.

Something is conflicting with something else that you have changed recently.

If feasable, I would advise completely uninstalling and reinstalling SH3.

If not, try rolling back SH3 Commander, and launching SH3 itself.

Its not that uncommon that save games are corrupt in SH3, I've had it happen myself from time to time. Usually if I save near a large convoy, that save ends up corrupt.

Provide a few more details, and Im sure someone will have an answer for you.
