I have SH3 Commander and enjoy it alot. I also have it hide the Hull Integrity test for more realism. Sometimes I change some things in mid patrol using JSME to add some new graphic mod or what-not. The Hull Integrity text is back until I start a new patrol using SH3 Cmdr. I usually can figure out where to tweak things like this but cannot figure out where SH3 Cmdr changes this setting.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thx,

;) ew

In the SH3Cmdr.ini file?

[SETTINGS]
RealisticLength=0
RealisticCrewXfr=1
UseSubDts=1
RndDaysInBase=1
SetDaysInBase=0
DaysInBaseValue=1
RealShipNames=1
RndGramophone=1
HullIntegrityText=1
RankText=2
MedalText=0
UseFatigueModel=1
FatigueModel=11
AdjWaterDensity=1
WaterDensityValue=14
WaveHeight=4
88ReloadTime=15
105ReloadTime=20

Not sure what the value means, guessing 1 = display, 0 = no display

Yes. I found that setting, but that only works when you start a new patrol. Somewhere in SH3 there must be a way to reset the Hull Integrity hide text feature directly... :-?

I'm having the same problem with TC, I have it set for 8 when I receive a radio message but it keeps kicking me to 1. Both Main.cfg files say 8. :hmm:

I'm posting from my local library, so I can't click SHIII Commander and look, but I'm certain it's either in the gameplay settings or...
Anyway, I know it's right there in one of the main Commander screens.

Gee, this can just cause *sooo* many problems. Just quickly thinking:

1. If you install a mod mid-patrol that writes over the **_menu.txt file, you'll lose *all* SH3Cmdr changes to that file.
2. If you roll-back SH3Cmdr mid-patrol, install mods, and then not reload the game via SH3Cmdr, you'll lose *all* SH3Cmdr changes.
3. If you install a mod mid-patrol full stop you can sometimes wave your career and game goodbye, especially if you use SH3Cmdr and you have NOT rolled back the files first.
4. If you uninstall a mod mid-patrol with SH3Cmdr files in the game, you may lose some of the SH3Cmdr file changes.
5. There's more, but I don't even want to think about them. But basically, if you DON'T rollback SH3Cmdr PRIOR to installing or uninstalling mods or the game itself, you WILL MOST LIKELY have conflict problems. Refer to the SH3Cmdr readme.

You'll see this forum is *full* of recommendations not to install mods mid-patrol. It may be wise to follow them...

Thanks for that, I thought it was something I had screwed up.
