Just wondering if someone knows how to mod the game so that German Ships behave similar to 'Neutral' country ships if attack by the players U-boat and attack the player for up to an 24-hour period if spotted? Would be cool for a WWII 'Hunt for Red October' scenario.

That would be hard to do unless it a scripted mission. I'm not expert but basically all spawned ships are based on probability and they have a certain amount of time and a random destination to complete. That would require a probability of 100% after that said ship appeared to have an Axis task force spawned to move forward to the escaping ship, and it have to be non-scripted... which is probably beyond SH3 capacity.
Maybe if a scripted mission is inserted in the campaign (like sinking the Bismark), that may work.
Now for a complete random scenario, SH3 Commander maybe :hmm:

Yep, on DefSides.config (or something like that in the Roster folder) make Germany a neutral nation for the time in question. (This change will effect all missions and the campaign though). By default, Germay is neutral before and after the war, so if your mission takes place during these times, you will notice the behavior that you speak of.
