If I open the insigna.tga file,

The u-Boat Badge with diamonds is the first badge to be awarded.

The other uB Badge is just the same badge without the diamonds.

I do few patrols and I get the uB Badge with Diamond first. Wasn't it the opposite?? In fact I don't remember to have won the second uB badge...

So what's up with that?

The medal-award routine in SH3 is really messed up. Don't expect it to work correctly for any medals.

For fun, complete 2/3 patrols, then start a 4th, then immediately end your patrol once it loads. You'll probably end up being rewarded with a prestigious medal :doh:

I don't know if anyone has fixed medals problem.

I think RuB have changed the way it worked (or was it Commander?).

But if the order you get the uBoat Badtge is wrong, it only a matter of swapping the the badges in the graphics.

Strange, I had no problem with the Badge. Yes, I got some medals just for sailing another patrol and finishing it while still in the base area, but...

Oh well, SH 3 Commander tweaks the medal affairs quite well.

Usually, the first uBoat badge awarded is the one with Diamonds.

See the second badge? this Badge seems to be never awarded.

If it never awarded, what can be done to activate it?

If it can't be activated, would it be better to swap the badge the the normal one (for future mod of course)?
