This is nothing big , but i was on the midle of a patrol, and was informed of a Large convoy on the vecinity of where i was, and upon the atacking on the convoy, rememberd to create an in game
fotoarquive for beeing used as a Guide on how to use the amazing Mod created by HEMISENT the Thermal Layers....

Quik guide on how to use ,HEMISENT's Thermal layers!

After the succesed atack on the convoy as you see on the screens.

When you're detected by an enemy warship, trace an escape rote

http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/9259/22rv1.jpg

And also trace an alternative escape rote when the enemy startes pinging on your subs position

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/8678/32bi1.jpg

What i do is this, , trace a second way point paralel to the last one
and that way i can turn the sub just when the enemy starts DC mi
sub, after riching the second cource i just trace the same way another paralel way point,
this way i make a zig zag cource and this gets more dificult for the enemy ship above to acuratly DC mi sub.

In that moment you're detected, there are some things
That you've got to do as fast as you can...
Pay atention at all times to his position and sounds,
and to the thermal Layers

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/6876/50us.jpg

This you've got to do fast,
- Reduce your speed if you're sub is going to fast.
- Goas deep as you can go, ( Remember your subs deph limit).
- Nominate manually or the automatic way your
Damage Control Team, and place them on the
damage control Departm.

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/3863/64ih.jpg

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/8275/78dn.jpg

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/3899/85ib.jpg

Allways pay atention on this things

- Constant Enemy moving....
- Deph charge warnings from your officers...
- Changing colors of the Thermal Layer
- And enemy pinging you sounds.

Thermal Layers colors

Green - The enemy doesn't have a clue where you are

Yellow- They know there is something out there

Orange- They know aproxim. you're location

Red - They have located you.

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/2830/91ku.jpg

Now with this Hemisent Thermal L. There are some more
midle colors variations that informe you on how close
the enemy is and if you pay atention an escape rote...
So remember how Greener it is the Layer is the right direction to escape...

http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/9664/118oz.jpg

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/4926/129wn1.jpg

Now an advise is that during that explaned above
You do this showed on this screenshots...
Use alternative escape waypoints ( that way you'll not need
to be tracing in a rush new rotes and using
the eraser just erase the waypoint where you're heading
and the sub will turn to the alternative waypoint
imediatlly, this way you're geting away and at the same
time avoyding precison targeting from the enemy above...

Also if you stop from time to time you'll live them
without the sound and there Hidrophones will not detect
you....

If by any reazon you think you're not deep anought
don't risk you're sub and crew , go deeper, tacking in
mind allways the Deph limit of your Sub...

In this next Screenshot, you can see the crew man reacting
to the intensive moment...

See in the next picks what hapends, if you do this
all steps corretly....

a lot of us 100% realism-ers dont ahve the contact lines and all that to measure those distances, especially with no external camera. It all depends on guessing and listening with hydrophones.

Wow! I've been kind of preoccupied with the RWR thing and haven't been here much lately.
Thanks a lot for going thru all the trouble to put this together. There's probably a whole lot of guys playing at less than 100% who can benefit from any extra advice when using the TL mod. I realize that sitting for hours only listening to your hydrophones may not be for everyone. This mod is so subtle that a player has no way of knowing if Commander chose one of the loaded random files(unless you cheat by peeking in the mini tweaker files)
Thanks again

Yeah, but you still can estimate the contacts by drawing them on the map by using the hydrophone by yourself.

Also, if you use RuB or IuB, Map contacts will no longer have a decrease on % of realism when unchecked and you will still have 100% realism with other options ON.
