Looks like there is 2 versions of this - 146 and 147. What's the difference?

Version 1.47 is the latest/newest version.

From the readme
News, changes and fix in this 1.47 version:

- More 22 ports with traffic: Brioni, Trieste, Istanbul, Odessa, Sevastopol, Feodosia, Kerch, Rostov-on-Don, Novorossiysk, Batum, Cape Town, Freetown, Galveston, Curacao, Port of Spain, Merthyr, Bristol, Portsmouth, Dover, Southend on Sea, Hartlepool and Firth of Forth.
- A complete new scenario for Black Sea (30th flotilla) operations (new nations, new traffic, new harbours).
- New nation: RSI (Reppublica Sociale Italiana) - see the text inside (.doc and .pdf). There are a lot of historical info for RSI and Black Sea scenario. A must "readme" feature!
- New nations: Bulgaria and Yugoslavia (for stand alone version only - RUb already have them).
- New german unit: Vorpostenboot, for escort and patrol duties.
- Italian Soldati DD reworked: now it have sensors, weapons and deep charges.
- A new workaround on the flotilla.cfg to better fit the milk cow feature of the mod and to allow the player to meet some historical operations, bypassing the stock SH3 bug with dates and grids in the career mode.
- A simple new way to play with milk cow without change anything in the basic.cfg file (daysinbase). So no more problems with dates and grids. SH3Cmdr is needed.
- Some small corrections on traffic, departure places and Admiral Hipper Class deployment.
- The trap containers are now disable. They are another unfinish feature by the devs. (...data\Sea\CargoDef.cfg)
- Radio calls now in german too.
- New flags for new nations.
- New colors on small numbers for color blind peoples like me.
- New infos on the F1 help screen with new buttons. A slight adjust on the milkcow dates.
- Full integration with FLB's Navmap mod. A map with geographical names are also disposable on the ...data\Terrain\Maps\Map1\FLB_map_4320_2160.raw. Just rename it to "4320_2160.raw".
- Sergei PTboats mod fully integrated. Take care now with the enemy Ptboats...
- Fix the long range weapons for the KGV
- Added darker recognition manual's covers with flags. (stand alone only, RUb already have them)
- New harbour shape for La Spezia (historically La Spezia never had subpens)
- No more start on subpen at Kiel. Historically the subpen at Kiel only was available after the mid war. But don't hurry you will use the subpens a lot on french harbours...
- chomu's Integrated Orders v.1.01 mod already update for HT 1.47 and ready to install
- chomu's depth chart mod. Now you can estimate the depth of any sea point on the nav map!

Thnx.

I just tried installing it, and every time I get to the INITIALIZE screen in my career, the game crashes. I am not using RUB and am not using the RUB version of Harbour Traffic. I know for a fact that the problem is something with Harbour Traffic. Using the latest version too.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Best to check with Rubini.

@trenken

Did you start in port? Or at a save game, cuz that'll do the same thing.

It is the menu_1064_768 file.
Very shortly, the mod gods are going to have a super mod (or 2) which will solve this problem

I was in a patrol and it wasnt working. Then I tried to load my earlier save in base, and the game loaded me up southwest of africa in FG28 when it was supposed to take me to the Wilhelmshaven port. This mod is very buggy.

And I keep getting base was changed ti Kiel every time I try to use this mod too.

trenken,

Thanks to try HT mod.
I guess that you are making something wrong. Perhaps you are missing some file, perhaps is some mod conflict. My suggest is that you try over a clean install and them go to carefully merge others mods. If you want a help post here what mods you use. I will stay out for 2 days now, so my help can delay a bit.

Cheers,

Rubini.

I've tried it in multiple places. I'm basically running everything the Avon Lady has in her list aside from SH3 Commander. I have a couple additional mods like my sub skin and a torpedo skin. I also tried putting HT in multiple spots in the list and I always get the change base notification, and either game crashes, or puts me in some random spot on the map when its just supposed to put me back at wilhelmshaven.

This is so frustrating. I've tried everything including reinstalling the game and removing all mods except this one and it just won't work.

If you are using this as the only mod, you need to use the stand alone 1.47, and install it with JSGME.

^ I'm using the standalone. I'm running the latest version of SH3. I don't know what the problem is. So annoying! :hulk:

It won't work if you don't start a career.

If you try to resume a patrol it worthless.

I did start a career. It either crashes the game, or rather than have me start from a port, I get stuck in the middle of nowhere. Last time was off the coast of Africa.

I think I get an idea what is wrong. SH3 seems to look for an Harbor that doesn't exist, thus throwing you in the middle of the Atlantic. Like if flottila.cfg was not installed.

I'm pretty sure you installed the mod in the wrong way because it look for something that doesn't exist (not installed).

Maybe your downloaded copy of HT147 was faulty? Sometimes it could happened that the compressed folder was corrupted and contained half of the files.

If not, all I can say is to carefully read the installation file. It is strongly recommended to Have JSGME to install mods. If you have Commander, it is strongly recommended to RollBack SH3 before installing mods.

If all you wants to do is to install manually, what you have to do is to drag in the ROOT folder directory the DATA folder over the DATA folder.
Not draging the Data folder inside the Data folder.

If all these fail, I have to suggest to write down every steps from Installations you make and post it here or to Rubini. Maybe it is a bug that was overlooked and never been reported.

I tried 2 different downloads.

What happens every time is when I go to load a saved career, and then select a save, it tells me "changing base to Kiel". Then I have to click OK about 5 times before it finally loads the save. Then it just randomly places me somewhere in the middle of the ocean when I should be at a port.

I do use Jscones mod installer as well.

That's seems to be the culprit.

You can't resume a career based on Vanilla SH3 from my experience.

Oh, so you can't start a career, then install HT, then resume the career? If that's the case, then that's my problem. I figured it would work as long as I start from a save thats at a base rather than in the middle of a patrol.

Trenken,

Also please be sure that your decompressed HT files are in real Sh3/JSGME file names structure. Sometimes some guys related a double main name after decompress, for example:

The correct:
HT_147\data...

The wrong:
HT_147\HT_1.47\data...

That could also be a problem Rubini. I know when I unzipped it there was 2 more zips in there, so I put them in a folder called Harbour_Traffic. I'll check that out too. Thanks!

Unzip the second zip called HT, then install. Rubini apparently zipped Airpower mod and HT seperately then zipped both those into another zip.
That's how it showed for me anyhow.

Actually I did have it right. Figures. Oh well. If it only modifies the ports, then I guess I can live without it.

trenken,

So, as a suggestion make another clean SH3 installation plus pacth 1.4. Then install HT 1.47 stand alone and post here what happens.

(You can have multiples SH3 copies on your HD. I have one called "SH3 stock +patch" and 3 others: RUB, GW, My game. I'm speaking about this because this is the easy way to go when you start to play with mods...)

^ Tried all that and for the grid to patrol it tells me "Null". This is the same thing as last time.

So I'm out of ideas...To go further I need to "see" your installation. It's obvious that something wrong are happening with your installation or your downloaded files are corrupted. Contact me by email if you still want to try something more. :hmm:

Cheers,

Rubini.
