16 Inch Guns on BB's

The main arnament on BB'scan anyone tell me what the range on these guns are please?
Reason am asking is I made a fictious mission 2 TF's 1 British 1 German all ships are "Elite" .
The allies have 3 BB's 2 Cruisers and 6 DD's the Axis have 1 BB 1 Heavy Cruiser and 4 DD's
Allied side Air cover consists of B-24s Swordfidh, all random set at 15 mis intervals Axis have aircover of 25 mis at various hights from 100m-7000m (7k is a joke they fly low level don't know why!?) all (Elite).now you got the gist.
Now I enter the game and go for it the Capitail ships sail out 10 km and I follow out .
Here's the problem I get a Jc DD blasting the hell out of the Terpitz her back up which are about 500m+/-forward and rear the type 34's are blasting away on the Jc DD all Tirpitz does swivell her front guns around and rear and fire's with her secondarry guns.and same with the allies the allies BB's they don't engage for some reasonit's weird watchin it some of the affects are good and realistic 2 type 34 splitting up and opening up on a Nelson BB from port and starbourd with JU 87 coming in ehat a sight.
But my question is What's the range of these big guns on BB's?
I always thought they were around 16 Miles.
I rally need some help on this guy please help.

45Km is the ABSOLUTE maximum for 16inch naval guns of this time. This range, however was not praticaly achiveable.
35Km would be considerd very long range for naval engagement with 16''

Actually, Nelson is armed with 16-inch guns in SH3 (exactly as it was in reality) despite they are named as 14-inch.

I'm refering to whats in game, not in real life.

So do I. If the gun is called as the 14-inch gun but fires 16-inch shells in the game, it is surely the 16-inch gun by content.

Nelson already has those in the vanilla version of the game because hers main guns fire 16-inch shells.

Yes, SH3 Nelson does have 16-inch guns in the game because main characteristics of AI guns are hardcorded/bound to the barrel name and are not read from SIM files, at least according to my testing.
