View Full Version : Disappearing TMA solutions.

I have only been playing subs so I don't know about the other platforms.
Since I downloaded the new patch and that includes LWAMI mod, my TMA solution just disappears, and usually if I go back to the Nav screen and click on the target it comes back.
Has anyone else seen this or do I have a problem with my computer?

If your TMA solution is gone, what is the "target" that you're clicking on the NAV map?

The target is still on the Nav Map, my TMA screen is black.
I will have TMA and then poof it is gone, that is all I know. I am wondering if I have not made a solid contact. It seems , and I am checking that now if that is the case, this happens when I first find the contact in narrow band.
I will do some more testing,

This is likely the case. If you'll test it, you'll notice that the same thing happens to spherical array contacts when you turn to put them in the baffles. If the tracker can't hear the contact, it doesn't send any bearings to fire co...the TMA station.

The TMA screen could be "black" because you have no contact selected or because the contact selected is too old to have any lines displayed for the selected time interval. Do you actually have the contact in question selected as the displayed track in TMA?
I hope this isn't merely a case of the autoTMA switching the target while you're looking at it?

I am not sure yet, but I believe it is caused by me trying to rush my solution. I use manual sonar, but use auto crew TMA and I have been using narrow band a lot.
I have come to the conclusion that when I detect in narrow band I need to allow more time to firm up exactly what I have.
