Hi,
I know many of you out there are fluent in working with the menu_1024_768 file.
Could someone give a brief explaination of how the Pos:xxx,xxxx,xxxx,xxx line works. I think I understand that the last 2 number sets are the complete size of the image, so:
Pos: xxx (or) -xxx,xxxx,512,1024 means that the image I am calling with be displayed at 512 x 1024. If that is right the the inital 2 numbers are how the image is displayed upon entrance to the parent ... or if I hit F5 and go to the nav map my image should show up if I use that as the parent.
I guess what I need to know what is Top Right, Top Left, etc .... for the life of me I am not getting that inital position part.
Thanks!

Hi Church,
I dug this up from a small tutorial I did one time. Hope it helps.
SIZING and POSITIONING
----------------------
Pos=287,659,114,114
Pos=A,B,C,D
The first two fields are the screen position. Field A, is the distance from the left edge of the screen (or parent menu_1024_768.ini item), I believe). Field B, seems to be the distance up from the bottom the the screen (or parent menu_1024_768.ini item). Interesting they would position relative to the bottom. At least it seems this to be this way.
The last two fields here (114,114 - C and D) are the size you want the graphic to be displayed in-game (width x height). It can be the actual size, or you can scale the image in-game by adjusting these values up or down. Remember if you scale it, you may lose some of the good focus. The game does not hold focus well for images scaled too far away from their original width and height. Note also if you scale the image different than its original size you must adjust the positioning.

Thanks so much for the hekp Timetravller...
couple more questions then I am off to crash my system /evil grin.
I am assuming then the that size of the visable world is 1024 x768 ...
So if I want to hide something I need to add to it's height....say the image is 1024 .... and I only want a little of the bottom showing ... say 100 (out of the 1024) I would take the size of the screen + the size of the image - the size I want showing ... 1024+1024 = 2048 - 100 = 1948 .... this would give me a sliver of the bottom of the image at the top of the screen?
Thanks again!
How does one handle layering of items? I can get the modified ini to load and the save test campaign to load but I don't see my image....could it be the order in which I have it assigned?
Thanks TT!
I'd like to know another thing
Do you know how works the CROP function?

It always after some MAT definition like
Mat 0 = (path for TGA)
Crop x=x,x,x,x
