Ok Let's talk a bit about the surface platform in this game now because I have a question.

Who actually said that the MK 92 Weapon system cannot launch more than one missile at the same target with the same Fire Control?
It is supposedly cheating to do it. However can somebody that was on an OHP before or on a present Australian, Spanish or polish OHP would be able to tell us that yes you cannot fire more than one missile at the same target WITH THE SAME FIRE CONTROL (CAS or STIR).

The MK 92 System (which comprised 2 fire channels) has both a STIR and the Combined Antenna Search (CAS). Once the CWI is radiating to a target, basically all the other missiles fire thereafter are and can use the same Rear Reference of the CWI.
Unless the Command and Control system of that ship is limiting it for 1 missile per target per Fire Control.
Is that mean that the OHP was not able to fire a salvo of missiles on the same target using the same Fire Control (CAS or STIR)?

Furia, Mahuja, Anyone.
I know in real life it is possible

Thank you
More question from a surface warrior is coming!!! hi hi

Well, all American OHP FFG's had their missle launcher removed a few years back, so I guess only foreign sailors could answer that one.

Sounds like someone misspoke or you read them wrong. DW allows you to use both FCRs, and as such you can guide 2 missiles at a time. There's also a bug that lets you fire without the FCRs that's been around since 1.0 and hasn't been addressed.

EDIT: Oh, and yeah, salvo fire on a single illuminated target isn't modeled. :hulk:

Well, I suppose you can salvo on a single target by using both FCR's on it.

Yeah, I do that a lot actually.

Ok thnaks this is what I wanted to know
Of course I know you can have two missiles going on the same target with 2 FC Channels.

So is it because it is not modeled or because in real life the OHP (yes I know whne they had SM-1 still in the US Navy!!!!) wold not have been able to fire salvo at the same target WITH THE SAME FC

Thanks in advance
P.S. because again I know with some ships you can, but may be with the weapon system of the OHP you were not able to?
If it was possible, can we modeled the salvo thing with ONE FC

In the same order of idea, That would be great to have the CAS associated with a missile in the air and the gun asigned on the same target and ready to go when in range of the gun.

Again in RL and in many Weapon system, it is possible.

Thanks

on the perry in gamer i can launch up to 10 missiles in one minuet (SM2) note the perry has been declassified as escort ship now not a frigate just to cut costs :damn:

10 missiles in one minute?
It usually takes at least a good 5 seconds just to load the next one.

Are you doing this with the same Fire control.
I would be interested to know.
