Das Realistic Food Mod-Download Available

Here is mod that combines the earlier released Modified Meat's Bananas with the latest Mod that corrected the Meat in the Bordinstrumente 1.0 pack by Oak_Groove. I combined the two and adjusted the textures to the oranges and bananas to make them look more natural to the lighting. The meats I left alone because they really look great as they are. Only the oranges and the bananas have been modified.

It replaces the textures to the models that are already there (all the foods in the back)....its just the default sh3 models in back look cartoonie in color and everyone has modified them since. This is just the combination of two that I liked and a little tweaks of my own to make them look more natural.

It also adds smells of the fresh fruits and meat but, you probably won't smell them because of the limitations of the monitor.

i never use a Type XXI, into your mod is the file 21_haloi.tga, after install it i gone to check it into a Type XXI, surprise, i have no food :hmm: any idea ?

But.... in my folfer i have another one ..... exact the same as those but with another name .....

CR9c_haloi.tga

You do not mofified it... why ?

Sorry I was only replacing files I have been currently using and decided to post them for community. I am currently using VII which is what the basic haloi is for the other one was just to replace the file installed with Bordinstrumente 1.0 so I included it. I'm not sure if it is really used or what. All I know is the graphic was same as one I was altering. If you need it for another sub just rename it to the haloi file you need. All the haloi files should be the same. Because it only replaces the food and the log books found by the damage uboat diagram on the table. But, double check with a tga viewer just to make sure. If you need a certain file updated for the sub you use post the filename and I will try to find it and update it accordingly.

Redwine: Do you know where the CR9c_haloi.tga is uncompressed from? or what mod added it? I don't have it in my modified texture folder.....some of the textures are compressed within other files (like the dolphins) and you have to unpack them in order to pull textures out to edit. If you can tell me where it is located. I will update it and add it for you. let me know...thanks for calling my attention to this.

I don't think so...I'm not sure....I haven't survived that far into a campaign.....I'm stuck with my VII......so I have to deal with the swinging meats...and rolling fruits and vegetables.....I think they probably had refridgerators installed in the luxurious XXI. There are alot of files that come with the game they never used. i'm sure its just one of them that someone threw in with a mod....or it probably is used by another sub....I couldn't tell you...

No there is no food in the XXI. It must have been a texture they were going to use to another compartment that they never made.

TG, I only see part of the Das food on the IXB. Only hams and bananas hanging from the pipes. Nothing on the floor.

Can you add or fix the necessary files so the mod wotks with the IX boats?

GT, you are only supposed to see half of the food. It is the way the IXB is modeled. There are no oranges on the floor just as there isn't food for the XI asked in the previous post. The VII has all of the food. If there isn't a model for the food objects supplied by the 3-d model of the game you will not see the texture that goes over it. These are skins that go over the 3-d models of the game. I have yet to see anyone add or subtract objects from the interior of the uboats. The pictures above are all taken inside the VII.

Yeah, same here as Redwine said. I thought I'd screwed up somehow or had a bad download. Didn't realise the IXB was this way.

I know the crew didn't eat it all that fast as we just pulled out of Las Palmas from resupply, after installing the changes. Even with out all of it showing in the IXB, it still looks great. :up:

this food mod is the best! i might suggest that one or two of the banana bunches be turned green, since uboats would load lots of green ones to, so that they would ripen later at sea.
